I'm actually standing at home, celebrating. I'm a cunt, I know. But I LOVE the decision!
It's almost as good as Tony being the world champ. I can die happy now.

It's always a fail when you let personal opinion weigh more than actual facts. The fact is he was DQ for an elbow. But in no frame can you see that elbow. Which means he has been unfairly DQ.
Wonder how you would like to go before a judge, and get a sentence without having done the deed? |

You should direct your anger against UCI. They made the call. |

DSQ? And I thought 80 points in the green competition was too much.
I don't think it was even Sagan's 100% fault in the crash, Cavendish is trying to move through a very narrow space there. As for the elbow, it looks more like Sagan is trying to avoid crashing himself more than trying to hit Cavendish. And this comes from a Cavendish fan and mixed feelings towards Sagan supporter.
Demare pulled an even more dangerous move and is awarded the win and probably the green jersey while Sagan is sent home. Nice.
As you said, I do not know what Cavendish was trying to do there.. it was obvious he did not have enough space to pass Sagan.. |

Simple. They both tried to get Démare's wheel. Cavendish had it but lost it, Sagan tried to get it but misjudged the room he had.
Tough decision by the UCI.. Think it's too harsh, but hey.. Great opportunity to make an example...
Btw? What's Démare's move you're talking about? I think he didn't do anything wrong. He got a little push from Bouhanni who was loosing speed and Démares jumps in the gap (although touching Bouhanni's front wheel slightly).

Not sure about you, but I saw an elbow. And I'm happy when a rider like that gets excluded. The riders in the Peloton dislike him for his arrogance. Pretty obvious why.

Then give me a picture with Sagans elbow connecting with Cavendish face. |

Watching the footage i'm not entirely sure it was a consious elbow or a 'balancing' elbow after Cavendish already hit Sagan's hip (or Sagan pushed his hip into Cav, anyway you want to interpretate it).
Also Greipel:

If you still think that Sagan hit Cavs with his elbow and as consecuence he crashed, it's clear that you haven't watch a single replay of the incident

Cavendish has been pretty reckless in the past, too. He is hardly an advocate for making sprints safer, which seems to be the UCI goal at this Tour, like it or not.

I want to see Thibaut win tomorrow at Planche just to see Marc Madiot celebrate. Pure ecstasy.

Thin end of a wedge - Cav has had awful prep, Sagan was actually under a little pressure for green with so many flat stages and a poor finish the day before last = increased chance of mistakes. A real shame that both are now going home and that others are injured too

Lol, biased much.
Yes, because I like Chaves, I am very biased.
I am not the only one feeling the bias anymore |
