may I ask where the likes of f.e. handsball have signed up? because I can't find them in the thread...it seems strange to have songs participating that didn't sign up

Today is the final day to enter songs for the 10th DSC in Amsterdam. Later today or tomorrow the running orders of each semi final will be revealed
Maybe it will be interesting if you draw songs for semi final live?
I would ask all the people from the Balkan to contact me so that we can create our community.

Put in Green Day: X-Kid in their for me just so I have something until tonight. I haven't been able to think of a real winner yet and I know that's not it, but I don't want to get booted from the game.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

I'd love to do that in the future, but I'd have to find a feasible way to do it.

Small idea for the future: Make a list of songs that have been used throughout the editions to avoid double entries from those who didnt follow too closely the different seasons. I hope my song was never entered before
Decided I might as well participate again after a few editions without my participation. Gonna go with one of the best songs of all time: OutKast - Hey ya! for Latvia
After a week of submissions, the DBU has received 31 acts that will take part in the 10th edition of the Daily Song Contest inside the Amsterdam ArenA next week. Now, the allocation draw for each semi-final must take place. The semi-final draw is completely random, however the running orders are put together by the contest's producers in order to keep the show value at 100%. The semi finals are as followed...
It's finally time for the DSC to begin! Today marked the first dress rehearsal of the 10th DSC and it was the turn of the 15 acts from semi-final 1 to perform on stage. The atmosphere within the record breaking crowd inside the Amsterdam ArenA was electrifying with fans from across the DSC-sphere represented in the crowd. The show opened with reigning champions, Kensington who performed their debut DSC entry 'Heading Up High' with world renowned Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren. The stage was set...
After a folksy Celtic opening from Ireland's entrant Ed Sheeran, the DSC crowd was shook by the oddities from Israel and their entry 'All Of It But Me' which was the 3rd song on the night. The Israeli entry gave us a 'WTF value' that we've been missing in the DSC, everyone seemed confused, but also left in awe at the craziness on stage. Paint was a big factor in this performance. Paint on a glass box with Anna F contained in, and also the cult-style painting throughout the performance of random bright shapes. At the end of the song, the 2 vocalists meet on a sheet which becomes covered in, you gessed it, paint! It was confusing, artistic and a bit crazy all at the same time.
One other song that stood out was the entry from Belgium, a country that has never failed to make the final. They sent a DSC veteran in the form of Alan Walker. Alan came 2nd back in edition #5 in Helsinki but he has returned with the song 'Tired' which is yet again another contender for the DSC crown. The song features chanting, soothing guitar chords and an EDM drop. The performance is something special which the Belgian delegation always try to get right every time. Once the drop comes, a camera effect appears on screen which shows the stage crumbling and falling away towards the camera. It is something new and will appeal to the voters who focus on visuals. The performance ends with vocalist Gavin alone with a plume of light focusing at the camera. It is uplifting, modern and is a contender. It gives me Netsky vibes from last year to be honest.
One country that is making their DSC debut is the tiny archipelago of the Ã…land Islands which sits between Finland and Sweden, 2 countries that have won the contest previously. There must be something in the water! The nation made their debut with the electro-pop ballad 'I'm In Love With You'. It stands out from the crowd of pop songs in this edition's line up for many reasons. It has stripped back, simple staging, a catchy refrain and a confident performer. The performance was the only one to make full use of the dynamic lighting rig on offer, with the large beams of light placed together closely on stage to create a tunnel of red light surrounding The Ludvig. At first glance he may seem like a shy teenager alone on stage with a mic, but he owns the stage by emoting, hitting camera angles and belting out the song. Will it be a winning debut?
The pimpslot of the night, slot 15, went to the Norwegian delegation and their song 'Oslo' which is performed by Anna Of The North. This dreamy indie-pop number gained a surprise showcloser slot, however it broke down the stereotypes and was a fitting end to the show. The dreamy staging featuring lots of white LEDs and geometric shapes transports you to a magical wonderland, something that very little people could do during the night. It's heavy beat got the crowd clapping along with the song which broke Anna's usually quite emotionless face.
