How fun mates,
I have stirred up a minor unrest. Sorry
Never visited that thread to be honest, but will sure as heck do.
Not much time to dwindle on the forum then. Got a lot to catch up on the fairer sex then.
Really I thought that Velogames only started up bigger races that is on WT.
My bad.

No real unrest To be honest I was a bit unsure at first.
I've just picked the most expensive riders I can fit into my squad and then a few random 4 pointers

That is what I ment. The big ladies are known, but the key picks among those 4-6-8 pts are often the clue to get good results.
To know who is good sprinters, breakaway, climbers and such among the lesser known is the hardest.
So for me anything below 12pts in this OVO race is totally unknown, hence a dice will have to help and LADY Luck , Appropriate

Exactly my tactic, guess it's gonna come down to the 4 pointers then

That was blunt mate, but to the point....
Agree that ladies like Breggen and Vos should be known, but the rest of the Dutch perhaps not so much. Do enlight us mate.

Just looking through the Dauphine league and not a single person in the current top 15 picked Froome! Could be the potential for lots of position changes in the next few days.

I think he is just too expensive for an 8 days of racing. Maybe at le Tour it would be shocking, but not on Dauphine. I think it's better to have 16 and 14 pointers for example than 26 and 4. |

I would've picked him, but I genuinely think it's gonna be Porte going home with the GC.

I know next to nothing about women's racing but I've always enjoyed the racing when it's been televised and I've had the chance to watch. Looking forward to learning a little more from my mistakes on this one

Thanks Matt
I've formally given up on ever getting anywhere near the top 10 or so but have entered a team anyway
Good Luck all.
P.S. Am out of the office tomorrow so league table will be updated on Monday for the Dauphine and the Women's Race

Before Dauphiné I was constantly ending up around the 30th position, look at me now

Correction, confirmed I actually know nothing "next to nothing" was too generous...

Good to see the Giro winner here but I have my doubts on how deep he will want to go. My team didn't even come to 100 points

Why there is no GVA? He should take part in this race.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Tour du Suisse, another brain crusher ahead.
What top rider (Dumoulin) will take 101% to the race, who will test their form towards TDF and who will seriously try to win leaving everything on the road ?
Not easy picking, but then it never is
Cool thing to see how the none-Froome team gathering in the top of Dauphine. As mentioned it might turn that race around, IF Mr. Froome decide to go all in on the last stages. As it might still only be a test on how the form is and what fine tuning needs to be done ahead of TDF.
Porte is a true man for shorter WT were I think any media light doesn't have time to affect his mind. The pressure on 3 week races has shown the man can buckle. How often has it not been seen in his eyes on TV when those hard questions pop up. Really show how uncomfortable Porte can get.
So far he has been in 10 GT, but never won any stage yet, so I think he first must get that monkey off his back. Perhaps if he wins Dauphine, after that great TT, he could start believe in himself for upcoming TDF.
