But seriously, lets wait with the complaining about routes to Tour de France this year. Take a look at the stages - its pure dogshit.
Interesting if Tom is going to the Vuelta....
Exactly. That tdf route

HUP TOM!
This is honestly the best GT I've ever watched, maybe because I'm a fan or because it went to the wire on the final stage. Even coming into the final stage I still had my doubts, even in that final kilometre I had doubts, but that countdown was the most tense thing ever.
Congrats Tom, congrats Sunweb - it's been a long time coming.

Quickstep won 5 stages in the Giro white and points jerseys and still no sponsor for 2018. Cycling is fucked up.
Don't forget the wins in RVV and AGR and a second place in Paris-Roubaix

Congratulations to Dumoulin. Exciting and seeing him in the future.
Quintana constantly finds new ways and lose on. Looking forward to seeing him lose to Froome in the tour for 4 times.

Why? He was basically on his limit every day. If someone deserves it, it's him. He even had the time to take a 2min shit, and still won. How can anybody doubt it. |

Guy wins in time - trial, wins on mountains, gives the others a 2 minute bonus, has virtually no team in the mountains and still wins by 30 seconds. What did he have to do more to make this a deserved win?

Also I don't think Gaviria deserved the Points jersey. All he basically did was win 4 stages, that's it.
Meh. |

Yes, I thought the race was kind of meh at times and wished there was more selection on mountains, but to say Dumoulin didn't deserve this is just silly. The route was what it was. He rode the race in the fastest time without breaking any rules. Hence, he deserved the win.

You guys are all celebrating too early, everybody knows Dumoulin will still find a way to lose this.
Spoiler And then Hirt will seize a thrilling victory over Pozzovivo!

Jan Hirt was the only guy to never loose a place in the GC over the whole Giro!

Tom D. totally deserved the win. He had the weakest team, he even lost his most important domestique, had this shit-thing where he didn't just lost 2,20 minutes, but had to dig deeper (at least I think) that the others, which cost him a lot of energy, without that dig he would've be probably comfortable in the last stages.
Anyway, how "impressive" is Tom's win? Was this Giro ridden really hard ? Any information about the climb times and watts ? |

The watt numbers over the whole Giro seemed quite low, whenever they talked about it...Gaviria winning a sprint with below 1000w, Dumoulin doing 400w over 5 minutes...that always seemed a bit low to me.
