If Dumoulin wins the GC, i think he will become the first ever rider to win a GT after starting the final stage outside the top3 in GC

Jungels have some amazing recovery... Second year in a row he is great in the final mountain stage.
About tomorrow's TT nothing's decided yet, last stage everyone seems to be dead, so might be a weird result. Still, TomD. is the biggest favorrite the gaps are small for him and the other guys doesnt look too much fresher than him.

Such a brilliant final week and possible the best GT I have ever watched in my years as a cycling fan.

We better get the calculators at the ready for tomorrow's stage, it is sure to be a Hesjedal - Rodriguez x2 situation.

Closest would be: 1947 Tour, Jan Robic starting Stage 21 in 3rd @ 2'58. So Top3 placing, but a bigger time gap overcome and in a more dramatic/racing fashion than a TT.
Cracking finale to a race that was, well worth looking up. Sorry Tommy, you're no Robic

it's a dead flat TT. Pure W output and aerodynamics mean so much.. it's looking really good for Tom

But as I said before, I won't be cheering until its 100% certain.. I still think Pinot is going to be the biggest challenger tbh

I am not sure how tomorrow will end. Dumoulin is really dead currently. I can see him even having trouble tomorrow.
Ofcourse he is spent after a 15km pursuit. But he said he actually had a good day, much better legs.

If he recovers he'll be fine. Quintana and Nibali looked absolutely spent as well.

Kiryienka to win the TT. Or Bialoblocki... Pfft

Pinot will take the GC me thinks, he seems strong, and can beat Dumoulin in TTs like this I guess, especially after a week like this.

No, he will be closer than expected, but Pinot needs a hilly ITT. Not a pan flat one.
I know Dumoulin prefers hilly tt's as well. But in this case, a pan flat ITT suits him more

53 sec. is quite a big time gap for that TT. Will be close one

Meh, Dumoulin has to have a bad day for it to be close.

That's possible ofcourse. So I won't be glad until the finish is there.

Overhyping? Are you serious?

If anything I've been underestimating Dumoulin for a long time now. But his TT is simply one of the best in the world. He has a great aerodynamic position and his power numbers aren't much worse then they were 2 weeks ago.

So for me the only conclusion is that a bad day (like friday), illness, crash or flat tire can stop him. But not other riders. If Dumoulin has a normal day he will win.

That's not overhyping, that's stating the obvious.
