Thomas was 2m 30sec down at start of climb now 5 mins down. Thankfully this is not TdF to bow down to Sky and give time back. |

Dumoulin has lost his only domestique for the mountains, he cannot be happy. IMO, any chance that Dumoulin had to win Giro has vanished today as he is likely to be in Pink in Bormio's stage, and everyone will attack there, so he will crack

Quintana is very good, when Froome is not with. Not like in Tour De France, where it's finished after first mountain. |

What? Is Alakagom banned? When, how and why? |

Long story, something with an accident and a passoword.

Thanks for the clarity and keeping the right order of answers!
So Arberg outlasted Alakagom. Wouldn't have bet my money on that. |

Usual thing, people don't get banned for nothing and it's not worth listing off the whole discussion that was had about said decision.

People don't get banned easily here so it's probably justified, I don't care what it was. Was just a bit surprised, though. He's an old member here.
Banned for just a while or permanent, though? |

Damn what a climb.
Gutted that the motor took out Kelderman & Sky & Yates. Especially Yates in terms of climbing (for me, expected more of him then Thomas and Landa)...And Kelderman would have been an extremely important helper for Dumoulin.
Then Movistar was amazing, Anacona absolutely killed it. What a monstrous performance by him.
Quintana was his usual self, Nibali did too much and ultimately blew up. And Dumoulin rode a very smart and strong climb. Never really expected him to be that close to Quintana on such a climb. 24s is nothing. But we all know Quintana in the 3rd week.
For me Quintana has this Giro in the bag without any incidents. Pinot, Dumoulin, Nibali, Mollema, perhaps even somebody from behind (Yates with a comeback, Zakarin?) to fight it out for the remaining podium places.
What works against Dumoulin is that he might get pink after the ITT and then get attacked by everyone and end up 6th. So ironically it would be best if he blows in the TT. |

Ten Dam was up there until 15 guys. So it's not his only domestique. But losing Kelderman is a really big loss. Kelderman is a guy who could even be up there with 5 man remaining (on a good day, remember giro 2014). So yeah, this sucks. |
