Clamel, changing 55 times is the key to succes,! Hahaha
Goodluck tomorrow everybody! I am lookig forward to it.
Didnt pick Quintana and Nibali as I think they are not worth their price
I also haven't picked Quintana or Nibali, but still plenty of time to change my mind, and back again.
I will be relieved when the deadline arrives and I cannot tinker any more
Good luck, hope all the riders stay safe.

In case you need to adjust your team.
Cycling News:- "Stefano Pirazzi and Nicola Ruffoni of Bardiani CSF have returned positive tests in out-of-competition doping controls, the UCI confirmed Thursday. "
Some doubt over Bardiani starting the race.

It was difficult make a team.
First question, Quintana or a team with more depth? I end up with him and Pinot as all arounders, and Formolo and Zakarin as climbers. Didn´t like the cheepers all arounders.
Then, one sprinter, or use the wildcard on another one? I choose one (Gaviria), and i found Mareczko on the unclassed category, which i think will make the top 10 on flat stages. Enough.
Then, the last question. Choose people on unclassed and with wildcard who can fight for stages or for the general classification? I mix up, and choose Mareczko for sprints, Woods, who i think can make at least top 15 in general classification, and Konrad and Leon Sanchez, to more difficult sprints. Sanchez always bring something, is a attacking cyclist, and i like the improvement of Konrad this year. Both for 6, is ok to me.
But even after this, problaby i will change all of my team until tomorrow..
From Portugal, with love.

Here's my team. Decided to just go for some riders and be a bit economic. To my surprise I had enough points left in the end to get Nibbles as well.

I made the decision to not go for Quintana and Nibali because I think they are too expensive. I went for the cheaper options, got Pinot, Kruijswijk (bit of a chauvinistic gamble), Zakarin and Yates as my main GC riders. I also expect Dennis and Konrad to do well, Kangert is my dark horse. Has proven to be a great climber and without a GC man (sadly) he will have all the opportunities to attack and do well.
Main decision is picking two sprinters, since there are like 5 or 6 sprint stages this year. I went for Modolo and Gaviria. If they can get points in 5 sprint stages i will be happy. 5 stages in 20 total is 1/4th so should get much points in comparison. Hopefully this works out haha.
Goodluck everyone! |

Entries are closed. Good luck everyone.
I picked Thomas but I'm beginning to think he might not be Sky's leader and so that might be a mistake. Oh well, it's too late now.

I guess I didn't need 55 transfers, but picking Mr Pöstlberger as a helper wasn't that bad .
Wow first Austrian ever to win a stage in the Giro. Now they can try to catch up with Italians +1000 stage wins ....

Exactly 25th after the first 3 stages. My game revolves around Thomas having a good Giro. Come on G!!!

True, although to be fair, unless a sprinter has the points jersey there is little point in any of them riding to the end. There's nothing for sprinter in the last week.
As long as he wins 2/3 stages by the time he quits I'll be happy.

Gaviria said somewhere that he wants to finish his first GT, so I think he will. You never with those sprinters though |

Can't see many sprinters doing the third week. One of them might be in the tricky situation of leading the points competition and having to make a call on that. Still think the higher profile guys will feign injury or illness and pull out, even then!
Perhaps an Italian stalwart like Nizolo or Modolo will then inherit the jersey.
