Worth the wait I guess. Bobby Jungels was amazing
Dennis lost 5 minutes, effectively game over for him. |

Hugh Carthy over 9 minutes down. That's what you get riding for Vaughters!
And again an entertaining stage finish. Jungels is impressive.
He got 10 seconds on the major GC riders now.
Just gotta hang on to 'em till Milano now.
And yeah Nowinzolo got cut off hard there but then again,
it wouldn't have made a difference anyway. |

Carthy already said that he isn't aiming GC. Probably getting ready for breaks.
But yes, great finish by all of QS. |

Looks like Cannondale are going to be firing riders up the road on the lumpy days with perhaps only Formolo riding for GC? Expect to see an all green breakaway come weeks 2 and 3

Kind of strange looking at Jonathan Edwards commentating cycling for Eurosport. They have really thrown in even the kitchen sink on this years Giro. Even blocking all other TV companies to boot. A shame really.
But no wonder with brits in the Giro for the first time since 2014 (I think).
Perhaps even Froome should have been in, so that he didn't have to crash his bike in France.
That could have been a very tragic news indeed.
It confirms that training is far more dangerous than actual competing.
Hopefully Etna will stay calm today then mates.

Rohan Dennis apparently abandons. Crash must have hurt him more than expected then.
