Surely that is a bare minimum requirement for Valio in the Finnish NCs
In deed it is.
Not completely content with how the RR went though. Had hoped Valio 3 and/or Kulppi would get in the break as they should all have been able to beat the pure helpers from Valio 1+2. That didn't work out...
Very surprised that Pökälä didn't defend his TT-title either, but it would mainly show in TTT's anyway so it will be cool to see a new young lad in the jersey. In the end a natural result of increased depth in Finnish cycling.

Congrats to Valio on the Finnish double. Oh wait, no contest .
What I really wanted to comment on was the first big TT upset, well done to young Halme, but Pökälä must be raging to have had such a bad day on the bike.
Is a separate issue, but riders like Halme are the ones currently being most disadvantaged by the difficulty of non-PT teams having a route to (slowly) develop lvl 4.0 riders. Although he fits Valio well for RP reasons, unlikely anyone else is interested in him (particualrly on loan to PT). I hope some of the ideas in this seasons 'suggestions' forum will at least be given some consideration.

Good to see one of our riders in the break but he wasn't strong enough to win it.

Very happy to have taken both home titles with Manulang, was sure Wahyudi would have won for all money. And glad it's not Parno again who won it
@Croatia: Thanks!

Not sure how to feel, second is amazing, but that really should've been first so it's annoying to see the break win when the peloton had a good chance, especially when Vantomme pulled off a massive sprint to beat Van Staeyen, would've been the perfect way to cap off a pretty amazing season from him and amazing for next season, guess it didn't help too that we had no teammates for him.
Still, had no expectations before so can't really be disappointed and it's nice to see Roturn getting one of the prestigious jerseys.

Was not expecting this.
Unfortunately it was Vandewalle and not Frison in the break as I was planning to cut him. Luckily he is 31 years only, hence he might have a spot now guaranteed in next years squad.
Feel sorry for Vantomme, who had deserved the title here though.
Frison 2nd in the TT is a nice bonus and might be a good sign for the years to come to eventually grab a title at one time. |

Congrats Roturn! Guess we go home shirtless again. I wouldn't have mind seeing a few more pics of the peloton, but I can understand we want to go forward with this as fast as we can
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

He really didn't. Vandewalle earned that, or it should have been Evonik who were the only ones to chase at all, and were only 1 rider short of doing it i think. Vantomme just got towed along like everyone else, all credit for it being close has to go to Evonik, and Vandewalle time the attack to perfection.

Vantomme won the sprint though.
Credits to Evonik yes, fastest sprinter was still Vantomme and hence maybe the smartest.
The game though decided to give Vandewalle a late acceleration boost allowing him to win. I don`t mind but it was not like he was supposed to win with 5km to go. |

I wonder if AI would work normal in all these small national championships if we would add in teams full of unnamed fantasy riders rated 50 in all attributes. Let's say these teams would be local ameteur teams invited to ride in MG. If the most unlikely scenario happens: an unnamed amateur wins a race, then still the best 'pro' from a MG team takes the jersey for the next year. Could be a small amount of additional work for a much better show.

Not a bad sprint by Boonen there for a top 5. More than I expected for sure.

AI would work better if we padded NC's out with 100 random riders, but i feel would somewhat take away from the fun of NC's by artifically changing the result.
We could acheive a similar result by setting the Control Rider on relay 40 for the day to keep the Peloton in reach of the break and if they are in reach the AI gets a lot more active with the peloton, but we wouldn't because it's artifical interfering.
You'd also alter the balance of an NC. Some teams have lots of riders from a Nation and by adding random riders you'd screw with that balance and you'd end up disadvantaging someone.

It's annoying that Novardianto is too all-around to win most RR NCs and too far behind Manulang to win the TT NC Mountain Indonesian NC next year!

Sigh can NCs be worth ranking points? Osario with a huge win for me on the Columbian NC adding to my list which I think is now 5 road jersey and 2 TT jerseys (both TT and 2 of the roads are defaults).

Postlberger in the break... Idiots, just send Brändle or Preidler and it would've been won...
Anyway, ITT is mine

So far, only the forced Piter Campero NC. That's good. I do kinda prefer not having too many, as I like my new jersey
