Maksimov didn't just bang his handle bars. After the cameras stopped rolling, the Russian Rocket got off his bike and threw it across the pavement in disgust. Tsatevich came over to confort him and a couple journalists overheard him say something like 'if you had used that energy in the sprint, we would have won' in Russian.
Maksimov then spat on his bike and walked away.

Nice to see the bigger NCs are being susceptible to the NC / breakaway bug. Two fantastic sprints in Australia and Russia. Both really close and entertaining to read!

Pretty sure we once took a Kiwi road title with Westley Gough. And now it's our stagiare Fraser Gough. We sold Westley back then.. let's see what happens with Fraser.

Ah well, Cerny already got a title 2 years ago. Can't win everything. Looking forward to Belgium and Italy, hopefully some real racing there!

Shame to lose the NC of the Czech Republic, but I'm glad it goes to Becherovka at least. Hopefully we can surprisingly pick up one more NC or so, then I'd be happy.
