Sagan will take a break now..until may and Tour California. GVA is also done enough (he with he's best would be match for Ardennes classics. Still man needs to rest.)
Still wondering how you Riis did not considered Sagan and GVA as Roubaix top contenders. Those 2 are ..cycling beast's and can do anything. Milan Sanremo, Vlaanderen, Roubaix ...you name it.Like who would have believed that Avermaet can win Rio..with that terrain (yeaah there also was that dh crash). Damn that man knows how to suffer. p.s. he did not even liked Roubaix race that much..
Dagenkolb was biggest wheellsucker today..2nd place go's for Stybar.
..and we never know how Boonen condition really was. Todays mad tempo was to fast for all riders.

"I crashed, had four punctures and in the end my derailleur broke down. After my crash I had to chase for a very long time and spent a lot of energy but I came back. Then I punctured and came back. I punctured again, came back again. Then I punctured again when the peloton was broken into several groups. I punctured in front and behind. In the end on the Carrefour de l'Arbre, I rode away with Boonen and others. We came back to about half a minute and then my derailleur broke off. I started getting better even though I suffered a lot early on. But now, I'm feeling fresh. I just wasn't able to do something. I rode on three bikes and four sets of wheels," Naesen said. |

Maye at that point Boonen and Degenkolb didn't have it to go with the move and thought they would bring it back in time, it's easy after the event to say they should of done this and that but in the heat of a race these mistakes happen quite often.

I'm really not sure that Langeveld deserves higher FL and CO than Van Baarle based on Roubaix only.
For the last 2 years, Van Baarle seemed to be the stronger of the two most of the time they rode together. It's not like 3rd in Roubaix is that much better than 4th in Flanders (and it's not like Van Baarle was nowhere in the race, it could well be him in front of Langeveld if all of those attacks worked out differently) so now Langeveld will be above Van Baarle in Cannondale's peckingo rder in the game. I don't think that's right. |

Sure, it's perhaps easy to say that now, but I got that vide during the race as well.
And they thought it will be brought back. But by who? I mean they were the main guys in the back and they knew they were not gonna chase since they had team - mates in that group.

Boonen missed the moved badly (When GVA went up the front) and Degenkolb raced so negatively to the extent that he probably didn't care, as long as he just marked Boonen. |

After remembering the key moments of the classsics this year Sagan looked as strong as last year. He was only a bit weaker in Gent-Wevelgem. He just had bad tactics and bad luck so his classics season was extremely disappointing. But he was very strong yesterday. |
