Yeah, because Durbridge is just some average TTist right?

And of course De Panne is the first race this year where Phil Gil actually performs decently!

Putting things into context is overrated tbh

Nah, I don't say, that he's in a bad form, but shouldn't he dispatch guys like Durbridge way quicker, when he has to race against guys like Valverde, Sagan, GVA and more. I don't think that Durbo is up to their level.

It's quite obvious Durbridge's been performing better than he ever has before.

Either that, or other riders aren't performing that well atm.

Gilbert is clear now though. Unless the road stage gets blown apart again the gap is comfortable for the shortish TT, even to the likes of Brandle.

I don't know, 30 seconds is not that much in 14 kms. That said, Gilbert is in some otherworldly form.

Gap is 50 seconds now Smile. Might yet get shaken up again tomorrow morning though beforehand.

As for Durbridge he has made the decision to go more classics and less TT this year which has been great to watch. He's not been far off as a result.

I'm sorry, but what kind of argument is that?

Its a Paul-special, bulletproof argumentation.

Durbridge is better than ever, BUT he is more of a diesel and therefore better suited for Roubaix than sharp hellingen. But he is in incredible shape right now and has shown this year he is more than capable on Belgian roads.

But it obviously was a bit too much for Durbo since Gil was an absolute monster. Cool

God right all the wrong on Sunday, Philippe!

I really love this race, too bad Flanders Classics is trying to destroy it. I hope the UCI doesn't follow them.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, it is still a valid argument...I still don't think that Durbridge will finish high up in the cobble Monuments and I also don't think that Gilbert is in 2011 shape as some claim.

They want to move Dwars to wednesday (midweek anyway) between Gent-Wevelgem and de Ronde and this would cause a big clash with this race.

Oh, I thought he meant De Ronde for some reason.

Yes I've heard that, that seems slightly retarded. The dates are perfect at they are now.

Chava was soooo close.

Good time trials by non specialists Kristoff, Kittel and Gilbert. Kristoff seems to be getting more and more in shape, I wonder if its a little too late for Flanders. I believe in him a bit more for Roubaix.

Would have liked to see La Machine win the TT but Durbridge for sure seems like a very nice guy so I'm happy for him and he really developed into a dangerous rider for cobbled classics.

Looking forward to tomorrow. It's going to be interesting to see if Van Avermaet is still as strong as he has been and if Sagan can play his cards right. It would be awesome if Gilbert also could be up there to challenge for the win. I'm curios to see what Durbo can do as well.
