We have De Haes, Marcos and Matthews but when a group goes upfront we send Drapac? Great tactics, now everyone is two minutes behind...

This was not looking too bad. Kasperkiweicz in yellow is hurting after de la Cruz's great showing in PCT, don't even dare to come close now Ticos! Also Jams with a fantastic stage for Xero.
The good news for us is that we didn't lose major time, have plenty of attacking possibilities for stage 2 and Drucker in a good position. And, sorry for that the_hoyle, no LaPoste rider in the upper GC spots looking to gain points on us. With Ticos in the leaders jersey though I fear a breakaway win on stage 3, as they shouldn't have the man-power to control a break on cobbles and Podium Ambition and Casrlsberg may not want to.

hopefully you didn't mean Logan Owen, because I'd prefer Novardianto over him any time of the day

That's amazing! Can't believe Kasperkiewicz managed it, was hopeful when I saw him in the break but when he was dropped I thought it was over, unbelievable that he came through and took his first outright win, I can't wait to have him riding in our colours next season, but glad he could pick up a win for Ste.
Now the question is if he can use the leader's jersey bonus and his time gap to score a decent GC, depends how it's raced I guess.
Thank you very much Tamijo for an exciting report!
Starts begging to for you to let me keep him haha

Solid start for WCC here in Faso with 3 riders in the front group. Bush and Backaert expected. Naesen surprisingly missing, but goodnews that Clifford subs for him, managing to hang with the stronger cobblers in G1. Hope we can maintain a strong showing here; cobbles is the one area where we have some strength in CT competition - have been pack filler on pretty much every other terrain in this first development season. This is a key race for us to ensure we secure our top 15 standing goal, and is additionally a goal in it's own right, with a top 5 demanded by our backers pre-season.
Thanks to new MG reporter Tamijo for the continued high quality reporting carrying over from ToA.

Have we ever had a race where every stage has been won by a break before?
Thanks for the report Tamijo, looking forward to the final stage

Strange to have a sprint and not have a Podium Ambition interest in it
No time lost today, saving energy for the finale. Time to go HAM!!!

I started to worry when Kraftwerk didn't do any work to chase the break that Stauff had overdone it on the cobbles the day before ...
... and a lacklustre sprint for 10th place bore those worries out.
Not what we wanted.
Big pressure on Kurth to climb up the GC rankings in stage 3.

Out of all the guys we brought, I expected the team to work for Sabatini with 0% of my brain. Boonen especially leading him out was quite silly considering there were bonus second on the line and he's in the GC fight.
Nevertheless, it's a few points so I can't complain. Shame that the break got us again so we couldn't take a stage but I'm okay with it. Tomorrow we better go bananas () on the cobbles and at least podium with someone and attack.

Seems like we in Compal enjoy the autumns
But seriously, JUNOR?? Jean Junor??? The Aruban level one "talent" we bought just for the fun of it? That he even gets a single point during the entire season is crazy enough. That he does a solo stage-win is just ridicilous
Have there anywhere or anytime in MG-history been a stage win by such a shit rider? |

Well that was a waste of time and energy. Onwards to stage 3 where Jams will reign victorious
