the first two probably a consequence of the third

Yes, also see the post above - new tarmac going up the Poggio and also a tailwind I believe.

I'm really bitter honestly, how absurd would Sagan's palmares be right now if he didn't get outsmarted in the last 500 mts so often? Anyway just a matter of time before he gets a win here. He's becoming a better and better rider every year.

In a way it's good for him he didn't win. If he pulled that off, no one would ride with him for the rest of the classics.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

So he will just ride away anyway? He doesnr need others. Sagan clearly in the form where he could sweep three, four classic wins. If one wants to win you have to be ready and with Sagan when he makes his move.

I think this final today in @Milano_Sanremo was a flashback with @vincenzonibali @simongerrans not always the strongest winning bike races

Exactly.

Sagan has finally reached Gilbert-2011-shape.

Now he just needs to stay upright and stop losing his head, then theres 2 monuments and E-3. And Amstel if he races.

In Cycling you need to be not just the strongest, you need to be the smartest guy.

Sagan attacks because he saw many sprinters in Poggio faster than him, was a great move, nobody spected, but maybe he spends to many energy in last kms, and was obvious, that Kwiato didn't work hard and Alaphilippe was waiting for Gaviria.

I think that in this moment GVA is regreting himself for his bad position in Poggio he could be one of the riders that followed Sagan and could have won this race.

I don't know you, but for me, since MSR 2013, i enjoyed a lot this edition. It's always a pleasure to see somebody doing something different in Cipressa or Poggio to avoid the big sprint.

Yeah I know thats true so thats what I am saying.

Regarding of GVA I was really suprised that he was so bad position. If he had been there he could have followed that move I am pretty sure.

Yes big sprint finish is not so spectacular.

British fans

People that love business corporations destroying small business ( or in this context small shit teams ) and making cycling into a flowchart to dominate it with

People that liked Sky when they were shit and they were the laughing stock of peleton, and Flecha winning Omloop and EBH winning a stage at Tour was considered the greatest success in their calendar

2 & 3 is totally me.

If Andy Schelck had fans, surely Cancellara deserves his as well.

Here from what I see it has a lot to do with the way the commentators present the riders. A lot of people only watch cycling on TV and won't follow other news by themselves and get fed with whatever the commentators say.

I remember when they were telling was how awesome Cancellara is and how strong and tall of a man he is and how Boonen is decent too but nothing compared to Cancellara. Then, for whatever reason they decided to check the facts and saw that Boonen is quite taller than Cancellara and still played it off like it was nothing and Cancellara still remains the god of cobbles and the most impressive built rider in the peloton.

Funny. I'm used to Belgian TV and I always got tired of Michel Wuyts going on about how awesome Boonen is, up to the point of me not wanting Boonen to win. (or worse: considering to watch the race on EuroCommercials).

That's why it's important for commentators to be objective. I'd take Renaat Schotte and José de Cauwer over Michel Wuyts any day.
