Yes, it's that time of the year again. All eligible riders can be nominated in this thread, and will gain 20 xp for taking part.

This year there is a maximum limit on the number of riders in the field - 168, across 24 teams - so team sizes are capped at 7. It is possible that smaller teams may be allowed, especially in cases where a single team has for example 5 or 6 eligible riders.

Teams can agree to join forces here in this thread and post their combined team, or I can allocate nominated riders to a team as best as I can. Should a team combine, then decisions also need to be taken on which jersey to ride under.

Riders can be nominated by their 2016 team, or the team that owns them (if they are on loan). The 2016 team gets priority when choosing which team a rider should race for, but cooperation between the two managers in such a case is encouraged.

Hence it would be nice to form some Oceanic squad including both of those, who will only have helper roles.

I really couldn't care less in what team they'd end up. Jiang is only useful as a domestique on the flat, and has a good PRL, Jabrayilov is an under 70MO climber, Darbinyan is a cobbler.

3 nominations from me, the managers of Kasperkiewicz and Loizou may want them on their teams but at the very least Veyhe will need a team. Hence some advertisements for my riders if anybody wants to join forces:

Torkil Veyhe - 72 flat and 77 fighter, will be more than useful in breaks or helping with the lead-out for a sprinter depending on the team he's in 66 hl and mo means he won't be a useless domestique on this level on other terrains either.

Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz - 69 flat, 66 mo 70 hl, 70 TT, 72 PRL, 76 Fighter, would love to see him get chances in breaks, but also can be a very useful domestique for flat and hilly stages.

Christos Loizou - Useless, 67 sp for a lead-out, I guess Pfft

Would love to see my riders get chances in breaks, so perhaps in collaboration with a team looking for break results as well, or a team with interests in the mountains, but happy to collaborate with anybody, particularly from the same kind of region. Smile

If anyone wants to join forces/use one of my riders for their own more nation-focused team here are their redeeming qualities:

Jamalidin Novardianto - 69 COB 71 FLA 68 HIL 70 PRL 69 TT 74 ACC 74 FTR 73 RES 71 REC - Consistently one of my best riders this season both results and break-wise, useful domestique on almost any terrain and will likely attack given his perfect stats for it. Otherwise, if you can't join 'em, beat 'em - he can chase downs breaks ok with decent flat and hill and good res.

Kim Ok Cheol - 70 SPR, 72 ACC, high 60s most sprinting backups - Okay leadout I guess Pfft

Nils Schomber - 74 PRL, 69 SPR, 69 ACC, 68 FLA, 67 TT - Will get dropped on all the hilly and mountain stages but could well overperform in the prologue (Pfft) and would be ok on flat days.

Jordan Schleck - 67 MON 72 REC 100% a Schleck - Honestly there's no reason to take him in other than if you want extremely good relations with the Schleck family and their associated teams, which of course includes Andy and Frank, the world renowned climbers. Could also be helpful on a mountain day for a while, especially with good daily form.
