Pretty much everyone has said which GT they will target at this point. UPDATE, GIRO 2017: Pinot, Kruiswijk, Dumoulin, Mollema, Landa, Thomas, Aru, Nibali, Amador, Poels, Majka, Jungels and Yates/Chaves.
Edit: I expect big things from Formolo also. And I expect to see one of Talansky, Rolland and Urán there as well. Have I forgot anyone?
Edit2: Forgot TJ and Zakarin as well. Might as well add Pozzo, but he should be over at this point..
What names!
Can't wait to see daily been flooded by dutch flags with guys like Mochema, Kruiswijk and TomDum present.

NL will send everything they have for that upcoming Giro, cant wait to see what happens to them.
Meanwhile Xorret del Cati and Cumbre del Sol will feature in the Vuelta, more walls! |

Given the dutch riders history in winning the Giro, probably not very well.

Shame on you all for neglecting Gesink and Kelderman. No wonder Jesleyh left this site.

Guys, he just managed to say a few small words. If he manages to even walk again on his own, it would be a great recovery. Coming back to top level is unfortunately not an option, but everything he'll be able to do on hiw own will already be a huge success.

LottoNL have George Bennett now, no wonder everyone has forgotten those two plebs.
Also great news about Stig Broeckx, hope his recovery, although long, goes as well as it can.
One last thing, Orica Bikexchange and Orica-AIS are now Orica-Scott and have shown their kits and bikes and so have BMC who actually have changed it up a bit! GVA gets himself a thick gold band around his arm.

Didn't see that coming. Sure, he'll never win a big race, but he's one of those domestiques every team should want.
Selvaggi also retires after not getting a new contract.

Looks like TJ Sport has gotten a new sponsor. And with the backing will get the WT spot for 2017. Barely though, with apparently just enough budget to cover wages and racing and no extras like camps.

I bet the riders arn't too happy with the contunied uncertainty...

Just read the news about Broekx too. Really happy that after the days of I certainty he started his (although very long) way to recover.

Oh yeah an individual pursuit in cycling would be fun. Imagine that on like Angliru.
As a stage 20, wow... It would be like a pursuit in biathlon. If you like biathlon, one of the main reasons is probably because of pursuit. Same as Nordic combine. They tried all formats of races. But pursuit clearly works the best. The final stage in Tour de Ski is a great thing to watch too. Made modern pentathlon at Olympics much better as well. In cycling, there would likely be some problems with potential mechanicals or medical help. But could be incredibely exciting. Even team pursuit is a good idea that could be used in road cycling. Stage races as a team-event only could work.
stupid idea..slipstream will kill that idea. Only Zoncolan stage can be possibility. |
