Not as good today, damn that is disappointing. Itami was positioned pretty well too, just wasn't good enough.

Another 4th by VdS brings some points and keeps him close to the top pf points rankings, well done. Thanks for the report.

Though I highly doubt that it would have mattered, it's good news about no time gaps awarded. And a break win is good from our point of view as well, no time bonuses for the same sprinters just in case. Nice to see Ahlstrand is in shape though, could add more wins to his tally.
Thanks for the report!

Take a look where the splits would've taken place. If both splits would've been awarded it could have well meant Konovalovas in yellow. And some bonusses for the strong sprinters that have a good TTT set-up even.

De Backer ending up on podium is good but with his sprint he could have well won that stage, too bad. Van der Sande consistent in the sprints too, well done. thanks croatia.

Konovalovas in yellow would've been deserved... Dammit.
At least we are showing our colours in breaks this race, and that is something quite new for me

Yeah Konovalovas could have been close but I doubt that split was worth 1 min or so. Normally splits like the one between Rowe and Kip are never awarded anyway.
That said, better for us

I was planning to say I was dissapointed in Zabel (first time this season?), but then I realized this could mean really good results from Kovalev and Schädlich

Suddenly Ahlstrand looks really strong, too bad we could not chase the break in all the way. |

Thorsen top 20!
The break's already going to win tomorrow, couldn't the sprinters take this one? Franczak 10th our best, outsprinting Vantomme who's having some bad days, hope he can pick it up on the last stage because tomorrow is for the break. At least today we had the neat achievement of all but one rider in the top 40.
Thanks for another great report Croatia and congrats haasje!

Strange race. All the pct sprint teams here and the break takes it. Result of a ct team leading the race maybe?

Hmm, Lo Cicero abandoning is a shame, but Itami would have won if not for the break, which is also frustrating. Still 3rd is not bad.

Vanderbiest rubbish? Probably. Joining breaks is the best option.

Ouch, too bad for you Atlantius.
Doesn't really feel good with two breakaway wins here in this sprint race..
I don't hope the team think its a good idea to wait for Ahlstrand in the TTT we could get a decent result there and set some of my TT guys in good GC places. |

At least a smaller break taking the expect win, so the sprinters could fight for something still a rough stage with Franczak's crashes and Vantomme putting in another weak sprint behind Sobota who took a decent result, even worse for Atlantius though.
Thanks for a great report Croatia and congrats Sgdanny on the win!

Stage 4 was weird, this one was because the stage was shorter than 120 kms or so, and this year every single stage like that got won by the break

Quite a good amount of pts waiting for you Matt in the GC.
Good TTT from my team out some guys in decent GC pts would be nice to finish this race with a good result by Ahlstrand. |
