Dominik Nerz ends his career due to constant illnesses and other health problems. Sad to see someone go that looked like a solid GT prospect for a couple of years....

The search for the new Jan Ullrich (or at least Klöden) goes on in Germany. |

So they need bigger pies and better dope? Come to NZ for the first one, I guess someone somewhere has the second.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Anyone heard anything on Davide Rebellin? He was to retire at the end of this season but changed his mind and is racing on next season at the age of 45 turning 46 in August...........
One can only hope and pray that his legend will continue to race on.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Fantastic to see Cink jumping to the road cycling and actually to such a strong team. Too bad Kulhavy likely isn't ever going to even try too.

Etixx would have wasted his potential

Etixx is leaving after 2017 and only 1 year contract wouldn't suit rider, who is breaking through. Typicly 1 year contracts are given to journeymen who are in their final years as active riders

Marco Mathis joins Katusha-Alpecin on a two-year deal. Seems like they love German TTists somehow now.
I think that Mathis is nowhere near good enough for WT yet though.

With no German PCT team next season, the choice he had was staying CT with Rad-Net Rose or potentially Stölting, or going WT. Can't blame him to take the risk (and the money). He might not get that opportunity again.

Rumours say that Etixx is leaving 2017. I haven't seen confirmation yet.

Carlos Barbero joins Movistar from Caja Rural, for the next two years. Looks like the step he needed to keep developing.
