Well done by Chavito. Rosa is a monster, SKY better not ruin him.

Chavez wins.Rosa 2nd,Uran 3rd.
The finish was just 15-20m too far for Rosa
And the remaining distance was too short for Bardet to catch up again

This is one of those moments where you're glad the bananas have been removed so jandal can't destroy the forum again.

Uran is probably the quicker in a sprint, but has that tendency to do stupid things while fighting for wins
so predictable Rigo was going to lose

One domestique versus two clear team leaders for this race, chapeu Rosa!
Hope he gets to chance to ride for himself more often in SKY

Yes, hopefully, but knowing SKY, he'll get to slave for Froome in le Tour and probably be sick the rest of the year.

highly unlikely he goes to sky at this point. Was supposed to replace Henao but he's staying now.

Oh, that's a relief. I thought I read somewhere that he signed there, but I probably remembered it wrong then.

yeah had been a rumour since May but last month Cyclingnews had a piece where they said the deal was off.

That was a pretty darn good sprint by Chaves! 2nd Giro, 3rd Vuelta, 1st Lombardia is a pretty good season, altho he has done nothing else of note compared to Rodriguez' monster season in 2012.
Fun (useless) fact: He has won 66% of his races this year in reduced bunch sprints on the flat. |

Bi-annual reminder that Lombardia and San-Remo are on a Saturday!! Don't miss it thinking it is Sunday.
Yeah, that reminder was a bit late for me
That means that LBL was the only classic I watched this year. Yeah!

That's like going to a five star restaurant and order some dull french fries

Even though the final of LBL wasn't anything to cheer for, the weather made it quite an epic race regardless. At least memorable. Seeing the peloton ride through snow halfway through the supposedly toughest classic of them all made for some great pictures and excitement.
Among the monuments, I'd say Lombardia was only beaten by Roubaix this year. Flanders and MSR roughly equal in 3rd & 4th considering the general expectations for those races, and LBL in last place racing-wise.
