The finish returns to Bergamo like in 2014 when Martin won but they have spiced up the finale with some extra climbing.

With Laporte and Gasparotto absent it has to be Sammy Sanchez who wins

I'd love to see Lopez or Chaves win. Though the heart really is for Purito but surely he cannot roll the clock back this far. Looks an open race this year we get decent tv coverage, quite often weather has ruined the spectacle.

Zaugg on his final race back where he had his greatest moment in cycling, fantastic!
I'll go with an outside shot and say that it's time for Gianluca Brambilla!

Feels a bit weird to have Lombardia already, what happened to the Worlds?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well, shame Nibs is racing in Almaty..
My pick is MAL if they let him go crazy ala Rosa last year. Chavito has looked in stellar form recently, but not sure if he can go the distance. Same goes for Aru. Wouldn't be surprised if Gold Van Avermaet sneaks away with it tho.

Wouldn't Lopez be the one with the biggest doubts about ability to last the distance?

The route is very good for a finish in Bergamo.
I have two things to say about it though:
- The race should be longer. 240 km is short for a monument.
- They should have climbed Ceresole instead of Berbenno. It would make Valcava a bit closer the line and would increase the chances of attacks from Valcava. It would make the race even shorter but as I said the race should be 260-270 km so there should be more kms at the start of the race till Valcava and then Ceresole, Sant'Antonio Abbandonato, Miragolo San Salvatore, Selvino and after the flat Bergamo Alta just before the finish

Nibali's shape probably sucks since he is recovering from the crash in Olympics RR.If his shape was good enough to contest for the win he would have been here.
@Selwink Thanks for the stream! |

Try bookmarking that link, it often gives streams for almost all races anywhere on TV (also CX)
On the race itself: Mochema FTW

Yeah but like Rosa, he won Milano-Torino this year and so I think his form is just right on par to counter the lack of experience.

I think this is Bardet/Ag2R race to lose. Over a minute on the other favourites |
