Finally managed to get it uploaded, you need to unpack the .rar file in

Documents --> Pro Cycling Manager 2015 --> Exports --> Replay

then in game you need to go to load --> Load replay (top left cornerWink)

That`s what we all do, but only recently we seem to have found something which might predict what kind of training style a rider wants ... in this thread. In short, it seems like Ground-breaking are for riders who are young and are still trying to progress so they can compete in races. Traditional is for riders who have reached their peak in their career and Modern is for all riders inbetween. That`s a very simply explanation, and it`s not that simple, but it`ll give you an idea Wink

And to get back on topic: I`ve actually gotten hold of Tom Dumoulin and he`s fairly good in the mountains. He can`t keep up with the big guys, but he makes up for them with the TT.
Now, I actually got a TdF where there was a 62km TTT and two 52km ITT ... :lol:

He lost 40 seconds on the leaders on each mountainstage and he took 1-2 minutes back on every TT Wink I built a team around him with decent/good climbers and a lot of TT specialists and he actually won with a 3,5 minute lead in the TTT Grin

Just had a triple win on a hard 33km time trial at vuelta catalunya. Just bad that the game crashed immediately after the end so that it couldn't save Angry

Was playing around with 6 riders per team and did the TDF with it, was incredibly exciting racing, with really aggressive racing such as some favourite attacks from over 100km out (Rodriguez managed that after losing 9mins on the cobbled stage) and outsider favourites attacking from the beginning of tough mountain stages, even hilly stages didn't always come down to the last hill and sprinters usually only had 2 or 3 lead-outs making the sprints extremely tactical (Sbragli won on the Champs after following Dege).

Stage 19 and 20 were particularly exciting, on stage 19, Pinot and Van Garderen spent the first 50km of the stage away, and they were chased down so quickly that there were only 8 riders left with 70km remaining and the racing was very exciting from there.

On stage 20 they raced like they would in the final 10km from the start, attacking the whole way, in the end Contador finally managed to drop Valverde and finish just 22 seconds off taking the leaders jersey.

The racing is more and less realistic to todays standards, things that actually happen today like badly placed favourites joining the morning break and outsider favourites for the stage (especially on hilly stages) attacking further out actually happen on this, although maybe there's too much attacking before the final climb. Pfft

Still it was incredibly entertaining, it felt like 'classic racing' of the 70s (we even had Sagan zabelling Froome in the Alpes, just like Guimard zabelling Merckx Pfft) I'm yet to test more exciting GT routes and classics, but I recommend playing around with these 6 rider teams Grin

After not having really played since PCM 2012, I am now enjoying PCM 2015 with the RSM-news 2016 database. Decided that my first career should be with Etixx-QuickStep. It's a nice challenge to make the team more balanced and gradually move from the heavy sprint/cobbles focus to a team that can compete for the GC in the grand tours as well.

In the first season, however, my goal is to dominate the classics, hunt for stages in Giro, Tour and Vuelta and try to claim two rainbow jerseys in Qatar. Wherever the terrain is not suitable for Kittel or Gaviria, the team will be riding aggressively and with both Tom Boonen and Tony Martin having their contract expiring, there should be plenty of budget to attract some climbing talent on the transfer market.

The season has started well: Peter Vakoc ended third in the Tour Down Under behind Rodriguez and Valverde, which pleases the sponsor. Now the team is heading towards Paris-Nice, where Alaphilippe will target the GC and Tirreno-Adriatico, where Kittel will test himself against the other sprinters.

After a stage win and second place in the GC of Paris-Nice with Alaphilippe and a disappointing Tirreno-Adriatico, it was time for the hardest part of the season: the spring classics. The sponsor demanded a podium place in Sanremo and victories in all the Belgian races, as well as Paris-Roubaix. The podium place in Sanremo was secured by Boonen, although Sagan and Degenkolb were faster. There was less success on the cobblestones though, since Etixx failed to win any of them! Stybar got beaten by Sagan in the E3 Prijs, while Boonen sprinted to 4th place in Gent-Wevelgem, where Van Avermaet was the strongest. Van Avermaet also took the Ronde van Vlaanderen, where Boonen was once again 4th. In Roubaix, it was Sagan sprinting to victory again, while Boonen got boxed in and ended at a disappointing 6th place in a group of 10. Terpstra worked hard, but lacked luck in his attacks.

In the meantime, Daniel Martin scored a 6th place in Catalunya, where Meersman won a stage. Then Jungels and Martin filled the podium behind Dumoulin in Pais Vasco, with Martin taking an uphill stage win. Another narrow miss happened in the Amstel Gold Race, where Gilbert took an impressive victory and Martin was best of the rest. In Fleche Wallonne, Gilbert powered away from his rivals again, Martin only ending up 6th. By this time, the sponsor was quite unhappy, so we needed to grab our last chance. Liege-Bastogne-Liege ended up being a hard race with only 10 riders left competitive after La Redoute. Despite of several attacks, the 10 remained together until the last 2 kilometers. Then Daniel Martin attacked and only Samuel Sanchez could follow. But while Martin had quite some power left in his legs, Sanchez was slowly dying in his wheel and our Irishman could claim the victory! Finally a big win for the Etixx team.

Playing Be a Pro and into the fifth season now. Stats are good although not world beating:

REC 76

However, I'm struggling to
a)stay with the break (riders like Brandle, de Gendt and Conti) in high mountains. Especially when they attack for the KOM points, my rider tires out after the first couple of climbs.
b)stay with the peloton in stages having multiple higher category climbs.

Any suggestions?

Primarily turn off 'random fitness in Stage,Classic and Tour game modes'
So mood of all riders will be 0 always. And that is preety good, because when your rider have bad day for example -3 and some rider in breakaway +4, he will be a lot better and stronger than your rider.
If you play on normal, that stats need to be pretty good, but if you play on hard that is really low.
Depends what type of rider you choose. Stage riders have limit for stamina something around 73, and you need more if you want to play on hard. I changed that limites with
LachisEditor. STA and RES are most important I think. Recovery affect your freshness on Giro, Tour and other stage raceses.
So put STA limit something around 78, and RES will be fine to be 76.

In mountain sprints, I recommend keeping your own pace when the others attack for the points, instead of jumping directly on their wheels. Also, make sure to keep up with the pace of the group (don't pull too long/hard), be patient and don't attack your rivals before the last climb.

About keeping up with the peloton: make sure you position yourself well, out of the wind, but not too far back in the peloton and make sure you're protected by a team mate.

Generally, I have the feeling that your rider is burning too much energy on the road, so with these tips you might be doing better.

In the meantime, I've been making a lot of progress with Etixx-QuickStep. Claimed the mountain jersey in the Giro (winner: Quintana) with Brambilla in the very last mountain stage and scored French and Czech national jerseys with Alaphilippe and Stybar. Alaphilippe also won a Tour de France (winner: Froome) stage and ended third in San Sebastian. Dan Martin won a stage in Poland, Terpstra ended second in the Eneco Tour, Boonen fourth in Hamburg and Trentin second in Plouay, as well as fourth in Quebec. Vakoc got third in Montreal, which was the most beautiful race of the season with a very high pace all over, the peloton being reduced to shreds and Van Avermaet beating Sagan and Vakoc in the final sprint of three.

The Vuelta was great for the team. Daniel Martin won five stages, but crashed out in the last week, together with leader Valverde. Chaves profited by claiming the final victory, before Jungels and a surprisingly strong Brambilla. Then Boonen won the sprint in the Worlds, which would be nicer if Cancellara hadn't claimed a great victory by a late escape. All in all, very good results, but lack of big wins. However, in Lombardia, the team made an amazing effort and on the final climb Jungels escaped to ride solo to victory. Another monument for Etixx!

The transfer market brought lots of changes for the team. With Boonen, Vandenbergh and Tony Martin leaving, we had budget to get Majka, Degenkolb and Poels as replacements. Also, a lot of the team's Belgian riders wanted too much money for renewing their contracts, so I ended up having only four Belgians left, including newcomers Wallays and Meurisse. From the original Etixx Belgians, only Lampaert and De Plus are left.

Time for 2017! Alaphippe and Vakoc kicked off strongly with a third and fourth place in the Tour Down Under, behind Wellens and Costa. Then Alaphilippe won a bunch of races in February, despite of bad form, while Degenkolb won the GC in Qatar thanks to a strong team trial. In Paris-Nice, we also won the team time trial and laid the foundation for Jungels' GC victory. He got strong help from Poels and Alaphilippe, who won a stage, while Kittel celebrated two sprint victories. In Tirreno-Adriatico, Stybar was the surprising winner on a weak parcours. He won a stage too (as well as Richeze) and beat Gilbert, Valverde and Rodriguez in the GC, all four of them in the same time! If that wasn't enough yet, Stybar had ambitions for Milano-Sanremo too. He attacked on the Poggio with Valverde, Van Avermaet and Gilbert, saved energy on the descent and outpowered them all with an impressive sprint. While 2016 was good, but lacking victories until Liege-Bastogne-Liege, 2017 is going amazingly well already. However, the sponsor is not too happy about the lack of famous riders and lack of Belgians, so we will be looking for a new one. Now let's hope to win one of the cobbled classics too: Stybar, Degenkolb and Terpstra are ready to rock & roll!

@Wani: Just as I post this, I end up getting a 4th place in the mountains in la Vuelta by keeping pace with the peloton! I play in Hard so I guess that's why it's still tough with these stats. I don't really like meddling with the DB, so for the moment I'm goona stick to trying hard to make do with what I have. Thanks for the tips though, I'll keep them in mind Smile

@Blueprint: I'm playing Be a Pro, so I don't really have control of helpers, etc. I played the above mentioned Vuelta stage similar to what you mentioned, by keeping my own pace and not trying to follow every attack. It worked, so I now believe it is more a case of me perfecting what suits my rider. Thanks for the tips Grin

In Career Mode, does the name of the user controlled team change when a sponsor changes or does it remain the same?

I'm asking because there's an option to enter team name when creating a custom team. Want to know whether that changes or not...

That would only be your team name whilst you are using that sponsor, if you then change sponsor the team name will also change.

Started up my first PCM15 career this week, with a Balkan focused created team. 2 riders each from Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey - main stars being Polanc, Kump and Grosu - all between 66 and 72 in average. So far up to the end of May and on course for promotion to the PCT, despite competing mainly in Southern and Eastern European races. Budget keeps dropping by an alarming amount each month though, which I need to keep an eye on Pfft

This game is insane. My results by mid August in my 4th season of my be a pro career as a northern classics specialist:
- 1st Ronde van Vlaanderen
- 1st Milano-San Remo
- 1st Classica San Sebastian
- stage win TdF
- 2nd Tirreno-Adriatico with 2 stage wins
- 4th Tour Down Under with 2 stage wins
- 2nd Strade Bianche
- 2nd Gent-Wevelgem
- 4th E3 Harelbeke
- 6th Eneco Tour
- 9th Amstel Gold Race
and a couple of top10's in smaller races

And guess what? I'm only 6th in CQ Ranking! What the hell...

LOL, and now I finished Vattenfall Cyclassics on 4th place, but computer decided that I have DNF-ed this race and got an injury for 3 months. I didn't even crash during the race and my 4th place doesn't count.
