Can't see any problem on a quick glance, would prefer if you sent me the actual db though because those pics are hard to pay attention to.
Thanks, but it won't necessary : the problem was that I didn't put _1989 at the end of the new stage and I didn't fill IDfirststage and IDlaststage in STA_race (seems that is mandatory for added races). |

I thought it wasn't because in the DB I used as basis (a Sali's 1996), only few races had the two columns filled (the main races : MSR, TDF, etc). |

PCM Fast Editor shows them as not filled because it doesn't find the reference for races with no constant, but if you in the options unticked use lists in grid you're gonna see them all.

Sorry (and thanks for your help until then), but I still have questions
1- I used another a 96 DB for basis. So, the jerseys files have names such as agr96 (for Agrigel): how to rename them "SuperU89" (for example) ?
2- The interest of a historical DB also resides in less stereotypical races than today. What can I change in the notes or elsewhere (the game configuration files ?), For more attacks of riders, including in flat stages, and more victories for breakaway men ? I increased the RES, BAR and I dropped the note VAL a large part of the riders, what can I also do ? |

1. If you want to rename the files in the folders yo can start using advanced renamer.
2. You can't affect the AI in any other way besides editing stats, it's all hard-coded meaning it's not editable.

What's an advanced renamer ? Never heard about it before... |

It's a specific program. You can google it and download it.

One (less than ideal) solution is to make teams only contain 6 riders for each race, which makes everybody more aggressive and attacks more successful.

Well for classic races it seems appropriate ; for the Grand Tours there is the risk of entirely eliminated teams in moutain stages (this happened to Kelme at the TDF 89 if my memory is correct). At that point Prud'homme (organizer) considering this for future TDF and the teams are very hostile, despite the drastic fall of the television audience. |

The DB seems to be almost finished. Few points remain, as finding Wincanton Classic stage, or Frank-Toyo and Stuttgart jerseys. But I wonder about stages : do i have to rename all stages of the game ? Example : c0_almeria_2013 in c0_almeria_1989 ? |

You don't need to rename them.

Even if I intend to include some variants ? And besides, how shall I name these variants?
top_tdf_01_1990 ? top_tdf_01_v2 ? or something else ? |

But shall I respect chronological order if I want the races take place an exact year ? Or will it be random ? |

Yes, you need to respect chrononological - or shall I say alphabetical - order. Unless you have a variant from the starting year of your career (e.g. 2016 variant for 2016) the game will pick the first variant alphabetically and then go on with the same method.

Now I check if everything is OK before releasing. I immediately saw one problem : when I select a race in Tour or Classic mode (not career), there is one team available, which has no name, which is made by free-agent racers, and which has a french flag (!). Never saw this with other DB, what's the matter ?
It seems that free-agent riders are considered to be member of a team with no name as the picture shows (please click to enlarge). How can I fix it ?
Other question : if I fill 22 teams (or other) in STA_race for a Grand Tour (or other race), these 22 teams will be automatically selected in Race mode. But does it mean there will be no wild-cards in career mode ?

I've looked at all the most important tables of the db, and on a rough glance to each I can't find any oddness. That said, I don't have a copy of the original db of PCM 13 to make a comparison. If you could send it I would be grateful.
That looks like an awesome db so far by just looking at the cdb file btw. Too bad I'm not playing PCM 13 anymore and lost my copy of it. The completeness of it and the research you've done blow me away, especially when it's for a 27 (!) year old db.
