Paul, can't you find somebody else to get personal on instead constantly? I don't even know how to respond...

I don't get personal with you. I just respond to your nonsense.

Dude, whatever, but please, whatever anger and hate you feel inside whenever I post.. can you at least just tone it a bit down? You are pretty hostile and many times, for no reason at all besides disagreeing with me. Which you tend to all the time.

Also, claiming the Giro was just meh is simply incredible. I honestly don't know if you are trolling like Schleck or you just are being straight up ignorant. Which seems to be the question I find myself asking at an alarming rate whenever you post.

Whats wrong with you?
I never said the Giro was meh.It was the Best GT this year.
I said that Paul was trolling since he said Giro was meh.

Yeah, I meant to say "I honestly don't know if you are trolling like Schleck said or you just are being straight up ignorant." I just left out the like, my bad. Wink

Hey hey hey let's not get carried away, this doesn't even come close to 2012's Vuelta. It was good, but the route could have made it a lot better than it was. I tuned in for the last 5 kilometers or so on every stage but Aubisques, Formigals and yesterday's one and I can't say that I regret to have missed anything. I actually regret tuning in so early for 2 of those 3.
I think that this was better than 2012 despite one of my favourite riders(Contador) winning that year.
The reasons:Formigal stage had 110 km of action,a Lot more than Fuente De
Also Yates and Chavez where very brave on Aubisque and Aitana stages.
I think this years one is a little bit better than 2012,though 2012 comes very close as well.

And the route was like 2012,just horrible with many Muritos and not enough TT kms.

Exactly. Somehow, produced some much better racing than the route invited to, in contrast to the Tour which actually managed to come up with a pretty great route for their standards.

No.
But then again I didn't watch it, so...

Seriously, though. Earlier this season I thought that the time's come that it isn't that justified to take Hansen to 3 GTs anymore.
Of course you don't see all work being done and maybe he's a valuable team member but before this season I used to think: yeah sure, he does great work at all 3 GTs and does well. So why not send him.
Now it's like: okay they send him. But others could've taken that spot, too.

Makes sense then. I have watched for the most part and haven't seen him (not like I have been looking for him, but..)

That has been one of my pet peeves for at least a year now. Sure, its cool and it is impressive to some extend, but how hard is it actually to complete 3 GT's when you have carte blanche to be completely invisible during those? Haven't seen the guy in a break for ages, nor at the front.

And especially, to your last point, he takes up a spot so there effectively only are 8 spots every GT up for grabs. Pretty unfair, if you ask me and probably not responsible sporting-wise at this point of his career. There is definitely some PR to it.

Lotto were anonymous the whole Vuelta anyway, it wasn't just Hansen. Might be premature to blame him for anything here. he attacked and worked in the first two GT's quite a bit.

You haven't seen him up front for ages in GTs? He pulled big time in the Giro and in the Tour. Lotto just didn't bring a solid sprinter to the Vuelta.

Indeed.
I am another fan of Latour but he should have been thrown out of the race for his shameful riding in the Formigal stage.I would have preferred a rider who was inside the time limit on that day winning yesterday.

So you would give Esteban Chaves the win?

Yeah they switched focus from a sprinter/opportunist team to a GC team very quickly didn't they? Outside of the Matthews/Gerrans rubbish OBE are a close knit unit and all seem happy to work for eachother, they also don't mind throwing caution to the wind by putting riders up the road and attacking a race, it won't always work but it makes for entertaining racing and a good antidote to the mountain trains of other teams.

This is true, he was working pretty hard in both the Giro and Tour as part of the sprint train, no sprinter here to work for and maybe this time he's just run out of puff for the season as I didn't read/watch anything about him trying to get into any of the breaks

With the changes/additions they've made, I think OBE will be a good contender for the podium in the team classification next year. They've done shrewd business in the market, with maybe some more to come.
