That's a reasonable decision for him, always working so much for others and then SKY always gives the nod to others over him. Time to become a great winner, not just a great rider.

I assume that Lampre wants to hold on the out of contract riders before Bahrain could poach them

I'm honestly shocked, I more or less assumed he was going to stay there forever a la Gesink. hopefully he's going to Mollema route and becomes a real semi-threat for GC's or whatever. best cause scenario he'll stop crashing but I doubt it
although I also fear this means that Lotto will go for the Tour GC with Kruijswijk please keep him focused at the Giro GC exclusively D:
like Giro: Kruijswijk GC, Tour/Vuelta: Gesink GC and/or stage wins.

Bahrain remind me of Man City when they were bankrolled in 2008- and chose to sign Robinho with the money.
Let's face it, Nibali's past it - and Visconti and Boaro are really past it.

Or Paris Saint Germain. Or any other club owned by major Arab tycoon for that matter

Gesink is better than Kruijswijk anyway. Hopefully the team realise their sins (disrespecting Gesink by thinking Mollema, Ten Dam, Kelderman, Kruijswijk are better than him) and put full faith in him. He'll be on the podium on the champs elysees without bad luck.

Well Gesink is a great upcoming talent and I'm sure with his 8 potential and 1.0 evolution he'll develop in a Tour winner by next July.

It's a new play toy for a rich guy (and torturer) who will want instant results so why sign young unproven up and coming GT GC riders. What other big name multiple GT winning rider was currently on the market? I can only think of Nibali and Contador with the latter most certainly done, Nibali can win another Giro which I doubt Contador can do now. Visconti is still a capable stage hunter and Boaro is a capable domestique

they told that it should be one team less this season pretty surely...
In this case UCI either has to say NO to Bahrain or Bora, or dump Dimension Data.
Bora confirmed that they already have their licence, and Bahrain has Nibali...interesting situation...
Bora have Pro-Continental license - just because they have $agan doesn't automatically mean that they have guaranteed WorldTour license.
If someone provides a proof that Bora already have World Tour license, then - case closed
You are correct and Bora don't already have a WT licence, all they have done like Bahrain is say that they will be applying for WT status. I wouldn't be surprised to see Di Data get dumped back down to PCT as the UCI know Sagan is a cashcow and want the Oil money and the massive Chinese market. What in reality what do Di Data offer the UCI other than having Brian Cookson's son on staff, that's the only thing I can think of that keeps them WT.

Henao to Bahrain reminds of of Purito to Katusha, they were both relatively old, but he will have free reigns to do whatever now. Like Purito, I really don't think we have seen the best from him so far, reckon he will be a monster in the coming years. |

Well he should be coming into his prime now being 28 (29 by next season), he should be hungry for success after spending time working for others and I totally agree that we haven't seen the best from this rider yet. He should get undisputed leadership in the races that suit and when it comes to GT's he can go stage hunting and possibly pull off a podium in a Vuelta.

Sagan and Majka in one team, what a mix. One rider can't get enough of attacking and taking initiative and is superstar of cycling. And the other one is Majka, enough said. But very good signing for Bora. Maybe now Majka won't be forced to do the Giro anymore?

Poljanski is a fantastic signing...he could turn into a Top5 GT rider in my opinion!
Majka is very much needed for scoring...
