I guess the Dutch journalists need something to report on other than all of the medals they aren't winning ;-) |

"Look at CNN's ratings, no surprise they have to make up stories full of lies about me all the time to stay relevant" ....
Maybe it wasn't intentional, but he definitely wasn't oblivious.

Not surprised by this at all, Cavendish has always seemed an arrogant and reckless prick for quite some time now.

I don't believe this twitter account. Why should Cav tell on TV, that he's sorry and do that? I just think that this "journalist" is an attention whore.

What a shame that Cav was not DQed.
Great win from Viviani after the crash though!

Pfff, this is his style, he is an idiot when sitting on the bike, so many dangerous crashes he caused in his career...

Gaviria just missing out on bronze, shame. Especially after Henao's crash, a medal for Colombia would have been great.
Surely he'll get another shot tho.

No in this instance this is just what track racing is like, it is very much about the pushing and shoving and while Cav has been a fool at times on the road what he did on the track was about standard

One czech guy who specializes on track cycling as the fan already told me few hours ago, that something like this happens pretty often, so you are both saying similar things.
I am not so deep into track, so i am confused that you are pretty much allowed to destroy the race of someone and send him to the ground and you cant be DQed.

There's a difference between a little bit of jostling for position and maybe even shoving someone out of the way and full-on slamming into somebody.
As far as I've seen (just watched a video of the moment), they had plenty of space at the time and Cav just swung down into him, (even after checking twice and obviously seeing that he was there), if that's not a DSQ, I don't know what is.

Im just worried for anyone who drives a car around Manx personally. If he checks twice while cycling and still not sees anything, then how on earth did he pass the driving-license vision test

Henao not a punishment for overthrow Nibali in road race. Although it would be good with silver to Lasse Norman, so was Cavendish just better. |

Would someone else have done this, it would have been an "accident", but with Cav it's on purpose?

I don't care that it's Cav, but I find it hard to believe it was an accident given he looked back twice and still swung down, he must've seen him.
Even if it was an accident, you should still get DSQed for something that bad.
