Didn't post when it happened, but it was so appropriate that Phelps had a dead heat with Le Clos and Cseh. That was almost the only thing that hadn't yet happened for him and he shares the place with two of his greatest rivals.
That is as much of a career defining win as you're likely to see in tennis. I always thought she was a much better player than her past results suggested, and until now she's been fairly underrated from what I've seen. That all changes now of course and hopefully she keeps performing at her best because tennis overall would benefit from a wider range of champions.
It has been a good weekend so far for the slightly smaller and not so accustomed to winning nations. Fiji, Singapore and Puerto Rico won their first gold medal ever.
Pernille Blume is awesome and beautiful Hers boyfriend is huge gold favorit. Almost 100% certainty Denmark's gold couples.

Anyone else finding the half empty stadiums a little embarrassing for supposedly the greatest sporting event in the world?
Guess that's what happens when you give major sporting events to poverty stricken, crime stricken, disease stricken countries.
I'm looking forward so much tonight! Forgot all about doped runs like Blake and Gatlin, Bolt wins always No matter who you are and how much you are doped.

just like in Beijing 2008 half empty stadiums, they ended up giving away free tickets just to fill the stadiums up to make it look better on tv

Yeah its quite pathetic. They should honestly just hand them out at this point, at least to some of the events (without having watch too much, admittedly).
Norman Hansen is beasting it in Omnium. If he or Gaviria wins, I'll be a happy man!

I don't understand why they build stadiums anyway. It will be televised, so why go there? It's just sports, it happens all 4 years and most of the athletes are doped anyway.
This hockey game...
Germany comes from 0-2 down against the Kiwis to score with 4 minutes left, with 40 seconds left and with 0.6 seconds left to win 3-2!!!
Guys, we did just experience one of the most amazing world records ever. 15 hundredths of second better than Michael Johnson's unbeatable time till today. Enjoy.

They have to give tickets away at EVERY Olympics, Sydney 2000 gave tickets away to schools just to fill the stadiums.
The IOC much like FIFA are some of the most corrupt organisations on the planet, countries won't be awarded the events unless the build massive new facilities that end up being useless white elephants after the event is over.

That run was ridicolous. And the young Botswanan in lane 1 did pretty well, too.
