I don't mind hard mountain stages and little TT but last Giro was imo too much.

For record: I think its good when the GTs have an identity and tradition eg Vuelta punchy, but it shouldn't take over. Both vuelta and Giro maybe were too one dimensional, but it is good when they have their identity and typical stages of course.

Giro is the only grandtour I care about. However It might be due to PCM but please have some hilly stages for the attackers. I missed out on a goal last year due to the no attacks allowed giro. Only schleck could win from a break. At least a prologue and a timetrial would be nice too

I'm also for more hilly stages, so that breaks have a bit more chances. And not just uphill finishes but breakaway-friendly kind of stages.

Race Selection Files:
Please download the Race selection file for the division your team is in and follow the following steps. Managers with also a development team will also have to download one for the U23 team.
Here you can also find a file with the calendar in it: https://www.mediafire.com/download/545...endar.xlsx
How does the file work?
#1 Put your team ID in L1. You find your team ID in table teams.
#2 Select the races you want to take part in by putting an "X" in column F next to the race.
#3 It is possible to finish with up to 5 more or less race days used than the required amount.
#4 Copy columns H, where it also says PM and send them to me in a PM.
WT Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/download/p1z...ionWT.xlsx
WT teams have 220 race days of which they already spend 180 on WT races. The rest will be in CT. The teams have the option to ride up to 15 CT.2 racedays. Restrictions for riders riding in CT races can be read here: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1188170 at point #3.
CT Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/download/wlz...ionCT.xlsx
CT teams have 170 race days which will majorly be used on CT.1 and CT.2 races. They are also allowed to apply for wildcards for WT races. But the WT races they apply for aren't allowed to have more than 50 racedays combined.
U23 Race Planner: https://www.mediafire.com/download/xi4...onU23.xlsx
U23 teams have 85 race days. They don't have to ride all U23 races. But at least 40 of their race days has to be filled up with U23 races. The rest of the races will be spent in CT. Mostly in CT.2 though, as they are not allowed to ride more than 20 CT.1 race days. They are also not allowed to take part in two clashing races. CT.2 races are already put on the calendar the way they don't clash with U23 races, but when assigning CT.1 races, you have to take care.
To those who missed it the race profiles can be found here: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=45465
Only the GT routes are missing now, you'll definitely have more time for this after they are presented. Thanks for all the suggestions btw.
Any questions? Post them here. If too many teams apply for one race I'll decide who gets accepted based on various factors.
Important notice for everyone: Usually I want you to send me PMs in table format. This time please don't do that. Just copy the PM column and paste it without any formation into the Message Box. If you put it in table brackets the 0s will be removed meaning I won't get your race selections correctly.

We have a better shot at not relegating this year for the mere reason I only have 6 filler riders compared to the ones I had last year
But seriously we're going down fo'real homeboys get prepared!

If a CT team applies for a WT wildcard and that gets rejected, can we apply for a different race, given that race days will open up?

World Cup
I have decided these races will be part of the newly introduced World Cup this season:
Palm Classic | Sprint | Clasica di Tirreno - Adriatico | Sprint | Milano - Sanremo | Sprint | Vattenfall Cyclassics | Sprint | Paris - Tours | Sprint | | | Omloop Het Nieuwsblad | Cobbles | Gent-Wevelgem | Cobbles | Ronde van Vlaanderen | Cobbles | Paris - Roubaix | Cobbles | Richmond Criterium | Cobbles | | | Strade Bianche | Hills | Roma Maxima | Hills | Amstel Gold Race | Hills | Liège - Bastogne - Liège | Hills | Clasica Ciclista San Sebastian | Hills | Bucaramanga Classic | Hills | Il Lombardia | Hills | | | Trofeo Campania | TimeTrial | GP Luxembourg | TimeTrial | Chrono des Nations | TimeTrial |
There will be minor rankings for every terrain type. All combined will be the World Cup.
The top 20 will get these number of points:
1 | 100 | 2 | 70 | 3 | 50 | 4 | 40 | 5 | 32 | 6 | 24 | 7 | 20 | 8 | 16 | 9 | 14 | 10 | 12 | 11 | 10 | 12 | 9 | 13 | 8 | 14 | 7 | 15 | 6 | 16 | 5 | 17 | 4 | 18 | 3 | 19 | 2 | 20 | 1 |
For the team rankings the top 10 teams will get points. For that the finishing positions of their top 3 riders counts, the lower the better, if two teams have the same number, the best finishing rider counts for the tie break. The best team will get 10 points until the 10th will get 1.
I thought about making the option to replace one focus race with a rankings focus/goal. This can be any ranking, not only World Cup. Is that a good idea or is it preferred to keep the current system with only focus races but the scored points also playing a role for the calculated budget of next season? |

I have now also added the GT routes. This time I wasn't very creative as I just took variants that were available. Giro is a Stylus variant with one stage replaced as it bugged. Tour is the 2015 route and Vuelta the 2012 route with the TTT removed. I think the routes are quite well balanced and should give opportunities to everyone.
Edit: I'll also now link the race routes in the first posts which should make it easier to navigate through the thread. |
