I wasn't expecting much, but a day in the break for our Cobbles talent is nice to see - just missed out on a Top 40!
Thanks for the preview and report trek

That was the agressive riding I wanted to see from my team, unfortunately we get dropped on a downhill (I think?) and the final result is very poor.
Thanks for the report!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Less comfortable victory this time, thanks to Strava and of course this moment of shock with the puncture. Impressive ride eventually, Summerhill simply on another level in PCT competition.
Baugnies unlucky as well, it felt like he could have been a threat otherwise. Having tried to get Bush in free agency, I am not too impressed with his struggles here..

Strong performance by the squad, taking the race by its horns and giving a great show. Having three riders in contention helped us certainly and it's the CT approach we have applied in the past, so I'm particularly glad that the depth Strava has kept and increased pays off here. This bodes well for future cobbled races.
Langeveld is just a beast tho, even at 76. I remember his third place at Viana do Castelo, guy is made for this kind of racing - even in domestique role. Although we got unlucky with the puncture for an in-form Baugnies, I'm glad he still got third, which is not a given in such a strong field (with bad luck). The second place was well within reach against a very lucky Teunnissen, and we even had a shot at beating the (punctured) summerhill leviathan .. but it wasn't meant to be. Next time might be better.
Thanks for a great report and delivering such an exciting race, trekbmc. Gratz to Kentaurus and matt to beating us.

Lovely stuff to see Strava that strong. Massive amount of points for Shonak here which is nice.

Deserved vicotry for Summerhill. Close to a podium for Zepuntke, but 4th is still good. I hope for him to deliver consistent results this season, and this was a good start

I certainly hoped for more than only 19th and 21st by my two cobbled riders. Now Denifl is the only one that still can prevent this month from becoming a disappointment. |

Solid though not impressive from Breschel with a 15th place. Had hoped for a top 10 though. Also good to see that the team did something along the way.
Thanks for the report.

Hehe sutty a new low for your team and it really takes some doing - has this ever happened in the MG?

Amazing race for us, and the team worked fantastically with our youngest rider Orue getting out in the break and forcing others to do the work for us. In the end though it ultimately comes down to Danny, and he again proved he is strong enough to carry this team. If he can overcome a late puncture and still hold on for a win then I think the outlook for the rest of the season needs to be good as well.
On that note, great job by the support staff for getting him fixed up quickly and back in the race.

WCC quite content to take 10+ PPRD back home from this journey to the PCT. As predicted, hills took a toll on our main cobbled contender RB, but he still salvaged a point scoring ride, while Naesen brought home the bacon with a real solid 10th place. Expected the hills to be as important as cobbles on this parcours, and proven correct. Alternatively surprised to see hostilities between the main contenders kick off so damn early that it eliminated about half the field - great racing! Gratz to the (not unexpected) podium riders and teams.
