I like seeing so many strong puncheurs elsewhere. Obviously have high hopes now for Skujins...

I´m surprised to see such sprinters quality, when we can expect two bunch sprint at most. My 2nd tier sprinter Saulo Lay can´t most likely any chance to achieve any remarkable result in his season opener.
Shame, here is only short prologue, otherwise I´d be quite optimistic about chances of my leader (and single so-so puncheur in my team) Ion Izagirre. Still, hard hilly stages could play into his favour though. Or not. We will see. Placing around edge of TOP10 would be quite nice and considered as a success for team. I hope pure puncheurs with mediocre climbing ability will feel the pain and suffer in those stages Obviously Trofimov is man to beat here.
Thanks sgdanny for another great preview!

Thanks for the preview sgdanny!
We are here obviously to try and win the prologue - Zmorka, Ignatiev and Hepburn all are top10 favourites, so one of them at least needs a good day and achieve at least podium, two in top5 would be great.
Ignatiev can try to hold on in 2nd stage with some stronger puncheurs, we will see.
Grosu is here for two sprints, i have expected lesser competition though, so top5 is the goal now.
For the GC, Ignatiev or Tanovitchii can hardly attack some top20, we will try to be agressive and put on some attacks.

I know that many people would be super happy with their riders coming 2-8-10-13 in the prologue, but i am not.
Zmorka has to win stages like this to make me happy, but of course our nemesis Ford is here to crush us. This one trick ponny (crazy enough on 65k wage, with 81 in main stat!) defeated my TTists left and right last three years, so no wonder he does it one more time. Congrats tsmoha and thanks for the report sgdanny!
Hopefully Ignatiev can pull something crazy out of his sleeve tommorow, to fight for the leaders jersey.

That is a one trick pony indeed. And if you say he's done it for the past few years, it's definitely one that's worth his ridiculously low wage |

What i hate the most on this case is that he need only one stat and that is TT/prologue. Other stats does not seem to matter in rides against the clock...no flat needed, no resistance needed, you are fine with one stat and bit of luck.

Maybe it's time SanCor started thinking about such one trick ponies
they seem to pick up valuable victories! |

Yeah, it's funny that Ford performs better than Durbridge on regular base
We hadn't that much luck with TTs lately, so this win is really nice for me. Bobridge doing okay, but nothing special. In times like these he definitely could have been a stage contender with his 77 PRL

Sooo happy for tsmoha there after Qatar's disappointments! Dominating prologue by Ford!

Congrats tsmoha. Izagirre with surprisingly very strong performance, shame he didn´t deserve his own picture in report

I really hoped for a top 3 here by Vlatos as that is where the points are, but I guess 4th is OK considering he won his last TT. If he can consistantly be around top 5 he is a good pointscorer for us I suspect.
Clement Koretzky had a horrible ride, let's hope his +5 days are in the hills, so he can fight for a top 10 and maybe a stage win if he is riding clever and aggressive.
Now to see if Tzortzakis stands any chance against the top sprinters. I doubt he will, but any points will be gladly accepted.

Probably not mountainous enough for Nibbles to do that well and his acceleration won't help but we can still hope. Had to juggle some riders around so I've got the bare minimum here, won't be able to help him out much.

Bobridge, you genius bastard! Wooha, opening T-A in style
Didn't really expect gaps in this stage. Was happy to see him aggressive and then thrilled to see him taking the stage. Way to forget Qatar's non-show of my team

We seem nice and consistent and boily crash didn't seem to make much difference so hopefully we can keep this up the next stages |

not too bad. De Bie attacking is nice. Not being able to follow was not ideal. But still gives hope for future stages.
Well done tsmoha. Coolest rider won. |

Very nice result and alertness by Koretzky here. Too bad he didn't get 3rd to take a bit more seconds. He needs to gain whatever he can after that dreadful prologue where he lost a minute.
Strong effort, and Le Gac also within the GC top 40. I hope he can end somewhere around 30th in the GC and take a bit of U25 points.
Too bad Vlatos crashed - But luckily this was a fairly undramatic time to do so, but my greeks seem to be crash prone...
