That's not what happened though. Froome didn't crash. His teammates did and he used a nature break as a ploy to get not only his teammates from the crash back, but guys who had fairly been dropped.

Froome crashing is one thing, you can't push then, but his team is a completely different story. How many chances are the other contenders going to get with him isolated like that at the base of a climb? And if Froome is going to pull over and take himself out of the race that's on him |

Well Eros Poli won over the Ventoux and he weighed 98 kgs!!!
He did start the climb with a 24 minute gap

Ending like Kübler in 1955 Tour?
Kübler attacked before Ventoux then he started to swerve,stopped on a cafe,went to wrong direction at first and finished more than 20 minutes down abandoning the next day. |
