That's an awesome prologue, a killer 600m effort and nice to see Will Clarke picking up a win

Also a timely win for him, with the Cannondale-Drapac merger he doesn't have a contract for next season.

I actually found that 600 uphill sprint to be quite entertaining.
Not your usual generic prologue.
Oh and that: |

After two flat stages (won by Ruffoni and Venturini), there was a mountain top finish in Austria, won by Brendan Canty from Drapac. Home rider Eibegger finished 2nd.

Great to see Brendan Canty get a win here, the climbing field isn't very strong so I thought he'd show up and take a win. Also 2 stage wins for Drapac is a good effort

Edelweisspitze, 8% at 20 km or something similar? A shame not to see the mountain used in a bigger race, with bigger races and more attention. |

With the climbing field he was up against he had to do something in this race, even with the weak field it was still a strong performance

Yeah, he is probably the best climber on paper this year in Austria, also with nice squad, so win had to be somewhat expected, but what a convincing way to win, by alsmost 50secs.

All depends on what people consider is the start of the climb as there are many but it's about 18.9 k's @9% with the final 14.2 k's averaging 10.1% so it's a beast. Of course the Grossglockner climb has been used in the Giro but they didn't finish as high as they did in yesterdays stage.

Von Hoff wins the first stage in Romania in a sprint.
Sibiu Cycling Tour
Sterbini was the strongest of a breakaway and wins the next mountain top finish in Austria. No danger for Hirt's leader jersey.

Yeah, on paper, harder than Giro legends such as Zoncolon, Mortirolo and Stelvio and also Rettenbackferner. Looks very much like Finestre. Its monstrous. |

5 stages, 4 second places for Team Roth, surely they'll get a win there soon.

Tour de Pologne, Stage 1&2
Seems there's little interest in this race, but it is WT. Not surprising while the TdF is ridden at the same time. Etixx wins the first two stages in Poland. Etixx is owning the sprints, there.

There's also little interest cause it looks like from PCS that they didn't include any actually selective stages this year.
