Can we already count the number of 80+ mountain riders in PCT? |

23 + training by my count, could be missing some, though.
13 times 80 mountain and 10 times more than that. |

Well, time to start planning my 2017 season in the CT |

Impressive fully Asian team. Hard to believe we're in the same league but looking forward to meeting you on the battling ground
Thanks, likewise!

also @valverde, your team is absolutely fantastic, you have solid leaders everywhere except cobbles, so i applaud you and your team deveopment
Thanks. We will have two solid Japanese cobble brothers in a couple years time too, so Im looking forward to then, but for now we can do well in all other terrains.

Here is my CT squad for this season, I think we could get top 10 to top 15 this year, I believe our top 5 Goal is definitely out of reach.
I missed out on most of my main targets (only got Bohli), but brought in some nice new Level 1 talents and I've now got 5 guys that are L'Avenir eligible (led by Kung) plus Sembukutti who is Loaned in.
I forgot to change the division on a couple of the guys I loaned out, and Bohli's wage is €90,000 with Ghani's as €50,000, I forgot to add that in before taking the image and can't be bothered to fight Photobucket any longer.
Unless I plan the season well enough to grab a surprise promotion I'll probably have some tough decisions to make next transfer season/ renewals but I think I'm laying down better foundations so next time I promote it will be with a stronger base to build from.
That said I'd love to hear if others agree with me or not and what you think of my squad and how we'll likely fare this season.

Loving your team Valv! I applaud to successful tries to have strict asian focus again and still building the very strong PCT team in the process. Of course you had some lower competition for these guys in the past, when you were only asian focused team, but still an impressive feat. I think you will attack the promotion spots, good luck.

So in my strive to develop the most talent I can, I forgot one important detail. I have too many riders for l'Avenir
Is it possible to race with two Compal teams or can I just pass them on to other teams in need of extra riders when that time comes? Cause not earning XP on all of my talents would be catastrophic planning |

Iirc even when not actually taking part in Avenir, you would get the XP for eligible riders, right SN?
Anyway, seeing 80+ riders in CT and heap of them in PCT is not a great surprise, when we have somewhat a bit inflated stats in the game and lot of money on training. The field just gets better and better every year...
I again heard about PT teams with spare 3-5 millions for training, i cant imagine having so much money even with two GT wins and 6th spot in PT.
Maybe i am just too soft kind of a dealer...

To be fair: I can't imagine having to so much wage cap to pay those Pluchkins or Phinneys contracts around 1.5M a year

Last year was extreme indeed and it was mainly low wage talents + Ignatiev around him. This year when Pluchkin is 1,3mil. it is much easier with those "spare 250k" of wage cap.

Sammy: Nice team, I think you're doing great with the riders provided for your nationalities. Your sprint team is very strong especially, and I hope Kung can score some points since I'll be following him (and Hugentobler!) as he takes on a leadership role this year. Bohli is a great signing, he should develop into a stud after he is maxed and trained a little bit. Chavanne is one of my favorite riders too, finally he'll be maxed next year and then he'll be a lot of fun as well.
In terms of rankings, I know in the past it would be a top contention team but I'm not so sure this year, we'll have to see the final DB to get a better picture.

Correct. Although I don't think there are 200 eligible Avenir riders on teams in total, so should be that every nominated rider gets to take part.

All riders born in September 1993 or later are eligible.

Thanks Avin! In the past the team has been full of Asian riders with the leaders being from somewhere else but finally now my team can ride with its leaders being from Asia so it's a great feeling to finally be able to do so. You are right that when I first started it was a bit easier to sign riders but only slightly tbh I still had lots of competition for Shikai and Kinoshita for example.
Anyway I hope you are right that we can be around the promotion spots as that means we will have an exciting season to follow!

Column AK (Avenir) to be specific. All riders with a number "1" in that column are Tour de l'Avenir eligeble. It is a good column to keep track on, because of the potential development of riders.

@valverde
Your team is really awesome, and despite you thinking you should be a midplace team, I reckon you could well be in contention for a promotion spot - And I do think you would easily be able to get a PT team. Maybe not entirely out of asians the first season, but in season 2 or 3 you could be doing fine by all asians - Much like Tinkoff with all russians.
Shikai and Ji will be constantly scoring well and both have decent backup from riders like Iino and Hiratsuka. Kwok and Kuboki are strong riders for flat stageraces with a short/or mediocre TT, and also both work very well as leadout riders for Itami and Hayakawa.
And on top of that you have some very nice talents. Not sure if they will all develop as they could, but if they do you should be strong next season:
Kuroeda 1 and 2 will be decent cobblers next season (75 and 74 I think, assuming that the level 1 rider develops to level 3), and both are fairly quick on the line aswell. Mutsumine will be a good domestique for Kinoshita whom should destroy the PCT next season if trained. This season you also finally discovered Sho Hatsuyama whom I thought you would get already last season. Yamamoto to be a decent leadout rider in two seasons time while Arashiro will be a great powerhouse.
