I like your team very much. Dombrowski wil score a lot of points because of his age. Nibali should do OK, but was really poor last season. Lutsenko and Edmondson should do pretty well in the hills, but it's a bit sad that you can't train any of your best riders as that would have given a bit of edge. Senechal is a seriously nice rider! I think you should have a safe mid-position this season

The World Cycling Centre organisation can finally present our 2016 roster (subject to MG UCI approval of paperwork submitted):
Entering into the process late, there were limited options how to proceed. The team has a development focus with 14 unmaxed riders (if we include stagiares and loaned out riders). Bush and Rodriguez Galindo are the only two riders we can realistically expect to score points consistently. Still hope with good race planning that this cadre will be enought to secure our top 15 CT standings goal while also levelling up all riders where it is technically possible (so the lvl 4 guys hold station, and 2 of the stagiares also cannot level up). This should ensure that 10 of the 14 riders improve over this season. We are also delighted with the number of different nationalities represented, certainly reflecting the 'World' ambitions of our project .
A number of signings are short term, with team management very up front with certain riders that there deal is for one year only (the likes of Ardila Cano, Moreno, Naesen spring to mind).
Will look forward to the new database coming around and being able to check up what the rest of the CT (and wider MG community) have put together for 2016!

Thanks Matt, but I think that is a little optimistic! In order to get our lvl 1 riders a chance to get to lvl 3 in one go, our race selections are a bit hampered in terms of optimising point scoring potential, and trudging round some unsuited C2 races. Also for same reasons, will be unusual to start any race without at least 4 riders below lvl 3 in the line-up.
With Nutresa I was able to do a decent job in optimising the race programme to maximise point scoring opportunites. With alternative drivers, some of the race selection is more purely for fun (e.g. an application will be submitted to the Tour of America organiser - fingers crossed ).

I disagree with Matt on Scorchio's team. I'd say it will more of a top 15 team if not only a top 20 team due to focussing on developing the talents. The CT team isn't perfect for Bush who will have to perform in C1 races to prove his value and Rodriguez Galindo and Ardila will face tough challenges to beat stroner rivals and are no outright scorer.
I think that the team is an excellent base for the next offseason to turn it into a top 5 team but a lot of disbands would be needed to get close to promotion this season. Still, i like the team a lot and one could have surely done a lot worse entering this late into transfers

Hey Knockout. You're right about Bush, not over many RD's in C2HC/C2 calendar that suit, and relying heavily on there being space in C1 cobbled races that we can get into to have any chance of utilising his full RD's. No idea how many PCT teams have cobbled interests, although assume a lot! I am assuming that at the least, Bush will be one of the top cobbled dudes in CT though - I know Thomas will be kicking around with Podium Ambitions relegation, but await the database to see what other competition exists for him.

Here's my team then for 2016. I'm quite worried about where I'll end up, I fear it may well be in the bottom 5. Hopefully some good planning will get me out of there, but I'm not extremely confident. Maybe you see this differently?

Would be very surprised to see you go down... Might miss some in the sprints and hills, but Cancellara is still very much high class. Brajkovic also a certain point scorer.
Looking forward to see Kadri as well, think he can be great.

I hope you're both right. The reason of my scepticism was that Summerhill will win every cobbled race in PCT and that the climbers field is absolutely stacked. My goal is top-10, that will possibly still be hard to achieve though

Hard to say without full knowledge of the opposition, but my gut feel based on last season would be around 20th Selwink. Combinations of Brajka and Rodrigues and then Cancellara and Sibilla should bring home good consistent high points/RD in their terrains, although maybe lacking many victories. Quite a 'mature' team so I guess you're going to have quite a lot of re-building to do over the next season or two, so survival this season would be a good outcome. I'd postulate top 10 goal highly unlikley though I'm afraid  .

Yeah top 10 could be difficult unless Kadrii overperforms on the hills. Every team needs atleast one decent hill captain to do well. If not then you have to have an absolute top guy in another aspect to complement what is "lost", and I don't think you have that.
Brajkovic and Cancellara are obvious point scorers, and you should be fine in terms of relegation - unless you plan horrible - But top 10 might be a stretch.

I think our mountain depth and hill depth is nice for a first year PCT team, but we'll struggle to score points otherwise, hopefully it's enough to stay up in the PCT
I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts on it though |

Looks like an excellent job during transfers gearing up for the season ahead at In-n-Out. Even without any sprint capability, can still see this set-up being good enough to be challenging for the outer reaches of the top 10 overall at the end of the season. I forsee lots of GC podiums in stage races.

Looks like a nice team. Definitely a bottom half team, though, but could be enough to survive. Your strength in the hills is a major pluspoint, though!
Wonder how Pozzovivo will do! He's a good asset to your team. Good transfer period for you. |

You have a huge problem maxime imo, and that's the backup stats of your puncheurs, stage racers if we don't count Hirt and Pozzovivo (who might well be your top scorer). Reus will be great, but Lhotellerie will underperform and so will your sprinters. I am afraid your team will fight relegation (to possibly survive).
@Selwink, no way you'll be in danger zone, I am reckoning a lower top 15.

Alright, here is Meiji's finished squad, plus Shikai trained. I am very happy with how my team turned out! I sold all non Asian riders, and I didn't even have to, I still had cap space, and had already trained Shikai +2 in Mountain, but I just decided I wanted to have a fully Asian team (and only 4 non Japanese riders at that) to see how it would work. I reckon if I kept Appo (81SPR), Zaini (80 Hill), Franzoi (79 COB) and Salerno (75 Hill) that Meiji would be in contention for promotion but now Im not so sure. Either way, I dont absolutely want to promote just yet, so Im okay being in PCT for another year.
In terms of my team, I have Kinoshita who should score well and Ji and Shikai will probably score decently as well. Kwok may pick up some points as well, and Im hoping Itami and Hayakawa score a decent amount, but due to their hill stats Im not so sure. I decided to keep riders that probably could have used a loan, since I dont need a ton of wage increases again, and if I wait one year, I can hopefully train a majority of the squad next offseason, enough so that I can promote with an asian team and then with all the extra cap space the year later I should be able to accomodate the newly trained riders, as well as my newly maxed riders.

honestly this might be my fatal flaw in regards to the man game but I actually dont care too much about back up stats, like i'd much rather have Hugenhaben with a 77 mtn and eh backup stats than ulissi with a 68 mtn and good backup stats (both who have the same hill stat)
maybe i just value versatility compared to back up stats or something but idk we'll see
also @valverde, your team is absolutely fantastic, you have solid leaders everywhere except cobbles, so i applaud you and your team deveopment |
