Seeing Dombrowski crack a Sky leader fulfilled a life goal.
Absolutely terrific rides by Dombro and Talansky. Cannondale finally plays some really good strategy today and two of my very favorite riders really showed great form here today! Talansky certainly doing better in Suisse than Rolland in Dauphine, wonder how Cannondale are gonna play it for the Tour.
And I said it before and I'll say it again. Dombro continues to show he can ride with the best. Sooner rather than later I think he's gonna get some leadership.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

But I fear that G. Thomas will be in full super fishy skyborg mode at the Tour, just wait... |

With the way he rode the Giro and again here in the high mountains he's showing enough to be given a chance to ride for himself in some good races.
For the Tour it's easy, let Rolland be Rolland and attack whenever he feels like it and let the team look after Talansky

If the conditions are similar tomorrow we will see some big time gaps

Dombro is a superbly talented rider, but let me address a few points
Rolland is pretty much doing nothing out of Tour de France (Giro 2014, but he peaked for that). He will be a lot better in July. I actually think he rode better in Dauphine that we are used to seeing.
Im pretty sure Talansky said he will be peaking for this race and trying to win. Now, I don't know if thats completely true, but it looks like it. How much will he have left next month? He will surely still be a protected rider, but Rolland is much more likely to get Garmin a good result, whether that being a top-10, a stage win, polkadots or whatever.

It's easier to ride for someone else which is what he will do in the Tour than leading a team, Thomas is a good rider but he's not a real GT GC guy or a multi mountain racer

Did they give Weening a massive block of cheese for winning the stage?

Gruyere is normally a sponsor of TdS and Mountain Classification so they probably did |

I totally get you. I didn't here Talansky is peaking but we don't really have a precedent since he crashed out after winning Dauphine. Rolland is very often boom or bust GC wise, but he is the kind of guy who makes his presence known in some way. Talansky is usually bust but this is the best form I've seen him on in a while, so I'm optimistic.
