Can't see what the problem should be. I wasn't been made aware of renewals changes that made my talents go fuckhold. So if I can't make a role play change before the database is even fully developped then I guess I'm not wanted in the game.

Hey, that wasn't an attack. You know you're wanted in the game. I was just saying.

Changes can be made up to the start of the transfer period I think (SN said it last year IIRC).

The media have been swirling around the recent Pro Tour winning team Festina-Canal+ ever since the major turn of events, where moneyman and sponsor Canal+ announced that they were pulling the plug on the team. Also Festina had been indicating that they would stop or step down.

At 10:00PM GMT the sports director called for press conference, and it was announced that slovenian sponsor Gen-I had been lurking in the background, and recently put pen to paper on a mastodont contract for the 2016 season. Leading spokesman told the media:

We can not stand by to see the Pro Tour winning team disband and put scars on slovenian cycling. We need Simon Spilak to compete for the biggest wins and we are putting a heavy amount of money in his chances for succes buying 70% of this team aswell as all rights to race in the Pro Tour in 2016. Simon Spilak had a marvelous season last year and we aim to build a team around him that can help him achieve the ultimate goal of pro cycling: Win the Tour de France!

As of this day the team is called Team Gen-I - Festina, as a reference, and we are aiming to post millions into the development of slovenian cycling on the very top level, hence we are looking to strenghten the core, aswell as buying riders to commit themselves to aiding Simon Spilak to win the Tour. We are looking to post a serious threat on rivals and give Spilak the best possible lineup, which should be fierce and make opponents shiver.

We will look into the current riders and their contracts and evaluate their future within the team accordingly. Several will leave, some might go as swap deals, others will be sold to make room for improving training facilities for our other riders. We aim to be the best!

Having announced the plans for the future Simon Spilak, Panagiotis Vlatos, Markus Eibegger and Jerome Coppel entered the stage to present the new kit for the 2016 season.

The new shirt will be a comformity of sponsor Gen-I, Festina and the former slovenian national setup as of respect for the nationality of the team and to show support of Simon Spilak.

Among the team a few national champions are situated. The Austrian road race champion, Markus Eibegger, the Greek TT champion, Panagiotis Vlatos, and the French TT champion, Jerome Coppel. These have presented the following jerseys.

Not only the kit has been changed significantly. Also the new bikes have gotten a touch of the design brush to make the team ready for the 2016 season:

The team manager, Andreas Jøhnke, explained that the team would be targeting great riders, support for Simon Spilak, and most importantly riders from Slovenia, the neighboring countries and riders from Greece and on the route from Greece to Slovenia.

We are ready to bring you hell! Let's dance Banana

*We will end up saying a great big thanks to the_hoyle for his amazing work on making kits, equipment and graphics for us for this season. We are utmost happy with that and very humble.

That's a lovely jersey. Good luck with your reshuffle during transfers.

Hmm, interesting semi-switch in focus, but it makes perfect sense with your main star being from Slovenia and some nice riders from there making it into free agency, so i wonder which one of these you will chase. Potential MSR winner maybe? Cool

Indeed a lovely jersey and NCs too, great job the_hoyle!

He would probably have been a better option to trade into, but he is definately in the radar :-)

I have a good list of both FA's and contracted riders from both Slovenia and several other countries :-)

At a press conference last night, Team I-Gen - Festina sportif directeur unveiled the plans for the team and it's riders. In the upcoming season there will be a massive focus on Simon Spilak, as most people have already noticed. This has turned into a specific list of targeted races, or "goals".

i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss29/SotD_Festina/I-Gen%20-%20Festina/Goal%202016_zpshz0debmc.png

It has been revealed that Tour de France would be a major goal of the season, but this seems to confirm things, having a podium goal, going into the race, but also doing reasonably well at either the Giro d'Italia or Vuelta a España could indicate that young Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier might get a chance for himself, while Spilak is likely to ride atleast the Liege-Bastogne-Liege leaving out all guessings of him doing two Grand Tours.

Last seasons PT winners also aims to stay up high in the rankings having a podium spot as their declared goal.

It will be interesting to see what can be done, and more specifically, who will leave the team, and who will stay!

And another team that aims for the win in LBL. Hello there, Spilak 84 hills? Pfft

Looks like the competition on the hills this season will be quite something. Well done keeping your team together during the transfer season, definitely a top team again, but at the same time definitely not an obvious title defence.

Strong riders have been announced to leave the team, and now the management has revealed exactly which riders are on the block:
www.icon2s.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/arrows-red-green.png

Riccardo Ricco - Last seasons 4th GC of the Giro d'Italia has been a strong rider and captain for the past seasons, and leading the way in the Giro he was looking close to win the race for quite some time. Riccardo Ricco had declared his interest in trying something new, and it was no big surprise that he was to leave the team.

Laurent Pichon - French puncheur, Laurent Pichon had a decent season at Festina - Canal+ last year, and was by many touted as one of the teams leaders in this season. Change of sponsors made him leave the team however, and instead of going for a split leadersrole at the team he left to try his own chances. Koretzky remains at the team to fill up the void created.

Yoann Paillot - The young french timetriallist was seen as the future heir of superstar Jerome Coppel, but he asked for a wage that could not be answered by the new sponsors. Paillot leaves a great gap, but greek Panagiotis Vlatos will try his best to cover the lost, and Mathieu Bernaudeau also remains at the team.

Martin Hacecký - Czech climber, Hacecký had a fantastic debut season at the team last season, and was touted as one of the best bargains of the season. It was never planned for Martin to stay at the team, however as both Vasyliv and Campero were levelling up during the off season to take his place. Martin will try to compete as a leader at a lower level in the future.

Zhihui Jiang - Young chinese sprinter Jiang joined the team last season as a stagiare, and now seeked his chances to ride as a full professionel. The team had no issues with that, and wished him the best of luck. The talented rider will step down a notch, but will surely be PT relevant in the future

Enrico Gasparotto - Veteran Gasparotto did not prolong his 50K wage contract in the off season, as he felt he would either stop his career or try himself at a lower level.

Having said goodbye to 3 leaders and 3 domestiques, team manager, Andreas Jøhnke, has had quite a task to rebuild the team in order to lose as little ground as possible. Shortly the team will present the intake of riders aswell!

Aswell as the team had riders leaving, the team also had a few riders joining. The team presents transfers in:
www.icon2s.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/arrows-red-green.png

Jakub Novak - On the block last season aswell, the czech GC rider finally joined the team. Novak is a great allrounder that will pose as a great domestique for Simon Spilak in the GC races. Novak is training eligeble aswell, and pundits speculate that he might become 78MO or 78TT.

FLMOHITTENDRESRECCOBSPRACCFIGDHPRL
70767376757375606464646176

Maxime Bouet - The decent timetriallist has been brought in because of several things. His wage, his timetrial ability and the fact that he is a decent roulleur to help our sprinters and to keep things a bit together in the early phases of a race, that we wish to control.

FLMOHITTENDRESRECCOBSPRACCFIGDHPRL
75626776737375546773646376

Nejc Kosic - Young slovenian cobbler joined the team in the 11th hour, as the team needed cobblers assistance for Tom David. Kosic is HC eligeble, although he is unlikely to perform anything noteworthy. He is a great talent, and could be one of the better cobbled domestiques in two years time.

FLMOHITTENDRESRECCOBSPRACCFIGDHPRL
69586361716865735964746661
72586661747067775964786761

* Numbers below is maxed

Pavel Potocki - Croatian climber Potocki was a great fit, and was loaned in fairly early to take one of the spots as a mountain domestique. Potocki will be a nice rider when maxed, but should already be a significant mountain domestique with his current set of skills.

FLMOHITTENDRESRECCOBSPRACCFIGDHPRL
67757168727073546264666968

Andreas Hofer - A young Austrian TT rider loaned in to strengthen the TTT department. A discipline we need to be atleast decent in, to compete for the goals we have lined up. Hofer can potentially be a breakaway rider aswell.

FLMOHITTENDRESRECCOBSPRACCFIGDHPRL
71586476737066556368746476

Marco Haller - Another young Austrian rider. This time a sprinter. Marco Haller is likely to be leading our sprints in the HC races we will attend, but also be part of a possible sprint train, or to keep our sprinters out of trouble.

FLMOHITTENDRESRECCOBSPRACCFIGDHPRL
70616556716975587877666469

Grzegorz Stepniak - The polish sprinter has been brought in via loan, just like Marco Haller, and with great similarities we expect Stepniak to be a part of our HC setup aswell as helping our main sprinters Coquard and Tzortzakis to achieve stagewins.

FLMOHITTENDRESRECCOBSPRACCFIGDHPRL
70576764686974667777636873

The depth of the team has been slightly improved, and we are now capable of featuring a more well rounded sprint setup, both at PT and HC level, which we are happy with. We are also a much stronger mountains team than we were last season, in terms of depth - We clearly lack Ricco though. In terms of hills we are almost similar. Ricco and Pichon out, but Koretzky, Le Gac, David and Kastrantas developping to the better. In terms of cobbles our top level has increased with Tom David, but the loss of loanies Bush and van Keirsbulck can be measured in terms of depth. We do hope that Kosic can keep close for as long as possible.

Great presentation and very nice job you did to minimalize the damage after loosing Ricco.

Of course the most interesting part for me is the goals section, so now we can be sure you were not bluffing with Tour title chase Pfft

So now it seems sure where Spilak and Pluchkin will meet and where not, are you curious? Grin

Of course. I'm always curious about these things Pfft - I always expected Pluchkin to be present at the Tour so I guess nothing new there. I just hope there aren't going to be 4 85MO riders at the Tour, so we end up missing our goal.

We are going very strongly at the Tour, but we might not be able to match your TTT setup. Hopefully we can make up for it, by having a better mountain setup. As things look we are likely to put together a TdF squad looking a bit like this:

Simon Spilak
Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier
Jakub Novak
Yuriy Vasyliv
Piter Campero
Jerome Coppel
Panagiotis Vlatos
Mathieu Bernaudeau

We may save Campero and let Bouet ride instead if we feel that makes sense, or potentially Potocki, Eibegger or Coquard will take the final spot.
