Is not it a waste of time to make all the polls? What are you going to use it for?
Sagan wins after all, he has most fans. |

Interestingly enough in last year's competition Zdenek Stybar won overall despite coming 45th in the vote-in round. Sagan may be the most popular according to the vote-in round, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will win through in the knock-out format.

But it seems highly probably that Sagan winw now due to, what, winning with 2x the points as number 2 or even more?
Anyways, I'll stay loyal to my guys and Lil Richie. He deserves this. If he'd win, that would be the first time he has been consistent throughout a longer period of time (GT) and when he has done that one time, why not a second time in the Tour? I believe in you LRP. |

I'd just like to say that strange things happen once the knockout portion of the competition starts. I'm willing to bet Sagan has just as many super fans as he does people wanted to see him get upset.
Fun Fact: Since changing the format in Season 5 so the Vote-In round decides the complete field for the bracket, the top seed to receive the most Vote-In votes hasn't fared to well: Mark Cavendish got knocked out in the Second Round in 2014 and Alberto Contador bowed out in the Quarterfinals last year.
But, to be fair, Sagan had more Vote-In votes then both Cavendish and Contador combined, so it will be interesting to see if Sagan can ride his #1 overall seed all the way to his first title. He will certainly have to earn it in the knockout round.

Well, I'm a very tactical voter, so for my guys to do well, it might be beneficial to get rid of Sagan
There's a "saying" in Norway which goes like "cup is cup", usually used in football, to illustrate that anything can happen in a knock-out competition.

Both groups were very spread out until things got a little interesting at the end, but Atapuma and Gesink were never in trouble and former champ Gilbert held on with Ulissi edging Costa. Armitstead becomes the second women to make the Group Round but not make it into the bracket, Taylor Wiles did the same last year.
