Mission Complete in Martinique!
The team is picking up steam now, another signing thanks to Croatia14.
Croatia14 wrote:
I`m supporting the possible fire in our team, let´s find some volcanos on Martinique with my donation.
The first of probably many punchuers to join the squad.
Vincent Haly | Age 21 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Haly is a fireball with a chaotic personality. He does a lot of stupid stuff, but it was too hard to dismiss his talents.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | 67 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 54 | ? |
I'm now off to Cuba to pick up a few cigars and do some more scouting. Founding members make sure you vote for the first Jamaican to join the squad.

It's a family affair, we get two for the price of Ian Butler's donation.
Ian Butler wrote:
Don't know if this is allowed but I have many good contacts in Cuba, and I personally know of some mighty fine talent coming our way from the Cuban people!
Our fourth and fifth cyclists are inseparable brothers separated by nine years.
Lyron Rollins | Age 23 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Lyron is the older sibling that has looked over his younger brother for the past three years after their mother and only caretaker passed away.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | 65 | 68 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
Bastian Rollins | Age 14 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Bastian is extremely young, but follows directions exceptionally. He follows in Lyron's shadow a lot, yet he won't back down to a challenge.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | 66 | ? | ? | 66 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
There is just under three hours left to vote for the first Jamaican. In the meantime, I'm now off to scout Barbados and then Montserrat. Cheers!

I would like to donate I few kroners, in looking for talent on Saint Thomas, hopefully finding a strong rider with a little Danish blod, leftover form the days of Danish colonization.

Quick Stops in Barbados & Montserrat!
All aboard. Two more signings to announce courtesy of cunego59 and fjhoekie.
fjhoekie wrote:
Given I'm a huge expert on cyclists from island nations, Micronesia in particular I'd like to donate some of my money. Now, Micronesia is quite a long way from Jamaica, and to encourage more local talent Montserrat shall be the island on which I'd like to see the team making investments in youth scouting and recruiting.
Both cyclists look good on paper, but there are doubts of underlying problems.
Kai Cookson | Age 18 | Sprinter | Wage: $0
Bio: Cookson has great top end speed for his age, but question marks remain about his stamina and work ethic.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 67 | 67 | ? | ? | ? |
Hennrick Sweeney | Age 23 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Sweeney thrives on his bike handling and is impressive on the downhill. His determination to reach the top of hills though is lacking.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | 61 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 69 | ? |
Rumors are spreading about the team signing a well-known Jamaican. Hopefully they won't be disappointed with our decision and we can attract more local talent. Bahamas, Tobago and St. Vincent are next up on my hit list to scout.
Thanks so much for the support so far. And you can still become a founding member if you aren't already. The more the merrier.

There are several running talents in Grenada, so I'm pretty sure you will find a few talented cyclists there, too. I will throw my 100 bucks over that island!

Cellestine looks like a great man to represent Anguilla, although the Rollins brothers and perhaps Cookson look like the best spots for the team so far.

Three More: Bahamas, Tobago and St. Vincent!
We've signed a trio of cyclists with the help of FonsDeSpons, Smowz and Shonak.
Smowz wrote:
Given my sister in law's family is from Tobago, it is not hard to tap into this islands resources to find a talent or two.
There is much need on this island for a man who can discretely deliver packages and that sort of thing. I am positive there is no problems grabbing at least one of the island runners to join such a team.
Shonak wrote:
St. Vincent please, I was told the rivalry between the Vincentians and the Grenadines is particularly useful in order to establish a competitive spirit with the cyclists.
A sprinter, a climber and a punchuer. All with memorable names and personalities.
Zac Evelyn | Age 19 | Sprinter | Wage: $0
Bio: Evelyn is from Crooked island and has blazing speed. The problem is he hardly ever makes it to the finish line to show it off.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | 50 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 69 | ? | ? | ? | ? |
Kosmo Hay | Age 24 | Climber | Wage: $0
Bio: Hay is hard working and doesn't take no for an answer. He doesn't care what his role is as long as the team is succeeding. Although he gets angry quickly.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | 66 | 60 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
Ajay Quashie | Age 19 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Quashie is a prankster. He doesn't take himself seriously most of the time and is always looking to cheer up his teammates with a joke.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | 61 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 64 |
Not much time left in deciding the first Jamaican to join the squad. Vote and become a founding member if you haven't done so yet. Otherwise scouting continues and hopefully I'll have more Jamaican cyclists to bring to your attention.

I'll become a founding member, and donate to NZ, but if that or its sisters in the Pacific isn't available I'll keep going with Jamaica.

I appreciate the support, however all scouting is being done in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico, so New Zealand is out of the question.
I'm also doing all the scouting for the home nation of Jamaica, so please offer up another island country that way I can accept your donation without feeling guilty.

National Champion Signed, Attracting More Jamaican Talent!
The founding members have spoken. Our first Jamaican has been signed.
Oneil Samuels | Age 33 | Local Legend | Wage: $200/month
Bio: Current Jamaica RR Champion. Well past his prime, but a very popular figure in the community.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | 65 | 64 | 68 | 62 | 68 | 68 | 69 | 55 | 65 | 62 | 70 | 69 | 61 |
The news was picked up by local television and radio stations and now I have an abundance of Jamaican talents to choose from. But, considering our team is getting pretty large already, I won't be able to accept everyone.
I need your help again. I've narrowed down the applicants to four new cyclists and Thailer Hall who still wants to be apart of the program and lowered his fee.
Thailer Hill | Age 23 | Track Guru | Wage: $150/month
Bio: Member of Portland Cycling Club, excels on the track. His popularity is on the rise, but most Jamaicans aren't knowledgeable on track cycling.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | 69 | 56 | 60 | 66 | 68 | 65 | 66 | 57 | 68 | 70 | 62 | 61 | 67 |
Kingston Richards | Age 22 | Cobbles | Wage: $150/month
Bio: Richards is a rare breed. He likes bumpy roads and often spends his holidays in Belgium to ride on the famous cobble sectors.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 60 | 68 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
August Charvis | Age 19 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Charvis climbs Strawberry Hill daily to provide for his two year old son. Tons of potential, but doesn't understand how professional cycling works.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | 65 | ? | ? | ? | ? | 70 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
Blake Ronda | Age 14 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Ronda has American parents, but was born and raised in Jamaica. He is very vocal and well-spoken for his age. A natural born leader that oozes potential.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | 68 | ? | 63 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
Fernando Infanta | Age 16 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Infanta has Spanish ancestry and swears his grandpa was a former cyclist. No archives can be found, but his muscular physique makes him look promising.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | 67 | ? | ? | 64 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
The top three cyclists with the most votes in the next four hours will be signed.
Note: Only founding members votes will count.
Thanks = Hill
Zarbel'd = Richards
Good Idea = Charvis
Thumbs up = Ronda
Thumbs down = Infanta

We have signed a rider from Haiti thanks to Selwink bringing the total team count to 12 plus three more Jamaicans to be announced in the coming hours.
Selwink wrote:
Haiti may be poor, but it seems like some people have discovered the bike in order to escape the horrors of common daily life. Maybe one is able to take a step up.
We got another decision to make after signing this cyclist.
Levi Saunders | Age 17 | Sprinter | Wage: $0
Bio: Saunders isn't that good. I'll be honest. He could develop into something, but really he looks destined to be the team's bottle carrier.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 64 | 66 | ? | ? | ? |
Why sign him? Well, in doing so I've gotten his twin brother, Keenan, interested in joining us as well. He looks to be the real talent here, but it comes at a cost.
Keenan Saunders | Age 17 | Climber | Wage: $150/month
Bio: Saunders could be great. His me-first attitude is a little off-putting, but aren't most GC riders a little self-centered?
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 69 | 67 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
Do we take a chance on Keenan? If over half of the founding members give this post a thumbs up in the next 12 hours we will sign him as well.

Scouting Saint Thomas & Grenada!
Nearly caught up on the member requests. Two more from Tamijo and matt17br.

Couldn't find much in Saint Thomas, but the boy from Grenada looks promising.
Chaz Johnson | Age 20 | Punchuer | Wage: $0
Bio: Johnson is a glue guy. A team player that is just happy to be on the team. He likes to attack at will, but often the moves aren't thought out.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | 68 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 66 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
J.J. Pike | Age 15 | Climber | Wage: $0
Bio: Pike has a natural ability at 15 to tackle tough climbs. But, he hates to train and prefers to lead groups up climbs instead of following wheels.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | 64 | ? | 64 | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? |
There is still time left to become a founding member. Those that are, please take the time to vote on possible Jamaican additions and from Haiti.
For now, I'm heading back to the Bahamas for another scouting round.

Get it together, Cookson! You better work hard for this opportunity!

Another Sprinter from the Bahamas!
My second visit to the Bahamas, thanks to jandal7, uncovered another sprinter.
This sprinter looks a little more balanced than Zac Evelyn and still very fast.
Jaden Le Juez | Age 23 | Sprinter | Wage: $0
Bio: Le Juez is a college graduate and arguably the smartest person I have ever met. He knows and has the instincts to be at the right place at the right time.
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FT | DH | PL | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | 68 | ? | 69 | ? | ? | ? | ? |
I'm heading back to Jamaica having completed all the scouting donations (for now). Thanks all for the support, it means a lot.
I'll keep you updated when I have more news to share.

I think you need to send a scout to the BVI to see if there are any riders out there talented enough to sign up.

We have 18 cyclists under contract with an option of one more. So far, so good. Now off to the British Virgin Islands. Last call to become a founding member.

By the way, Blake Ronda is 14 years old!! You sure are catching them young
