That was awesome. Sprinting to the finish line. What a climb from him! |

It appears there's a trail of syringes leading to the finish line after that new best time. huh.
And yes, i know he's only 24, but come on. Did you just see what I saw? Have you seen that guy do anything else?

Well, he is the most talented Russian rider that's been around for a while. Amazing U23 results, and he has won an MTT before, although not in this kind of company.

Wonder where that time will put him. Should at least be good enough for a top ten. Incredible performance.

It is a nasty old drag to the finish this one.
Will confuse a lot of commentators.

It just seems weird that there's 3 Rusvelo riders in the top 10 all of a sudden.

The first time check may also be misleading by the looks - a GC rider could crack badly in that second section for sure. Foliforov really rode that second half well by the looks.

You're all underestimating the Don. He will zoom up this climb
And there's no way we'll have almost a minute separating the top 5. Time gaps won't be significant.
Don Don will own it today.
I disagree tho - I think there will be somewhat big gaps today. Its a hard, hard climb. |

Guy isn't doing well for ages now. Typical Trekification.

He finished 12th to Cividale del Friuli in this race plus he has finished 4th in Tour de l'Avenir behind Lopez and some other good results in the under 23 racea, so if you are going to say there is a trail of syringes leading to the finish line after his time then you could basically make the same claim about 90% of the riders who cross the line today

He just made 1.30 up on the whole field tho, so the comments aren't that surprising
I haven't really heard of him, but I guess he is young huh. Impressive performance. |
