Kinda strange though, since Terpstra is already 32.
He did a Quintana and faked his passport. |

Chaves is a charming guy, really nice interview by him. Not a fan but I might turn into one.
He even thanked the staff back in the office, it was a really nice interview

Real exciting stage and loved seeing Kruijswick and especially Chaves (one of my favourite young riders now ) breaking away but ended up not enjoying the end because I felt Atampuma and Priedler should have had that.

Meanwhile Giulio Ciccone just scored a 20th place. We're gonna see this guy a lot in the future I suppose

Once again ti seems like Foromolo is capable of great climbing early in GT's and in week long stage races, but still has not been able tod evelop the recovery necessary for a consistent three week race,
Luckily for Cannondale he still has time to develop and they have some depth at this particular race.

You know, this is a major blunder by CQ Ranking. With PCS down all the time you would think they would be capitalizing on that to get some traffic share back, but they've been even slower than usual.
Edit: To avoid a triple post, here's what Vaughters tweeted about Dombo.
Though I almost gave up hope in Dombrowski during his injury and years at Sky, he is still only 24 years old. If he can put together races like this, he could still be a future GT winner. At least I hope so. He's capable of climbing of some of the best as he showed today, and his recovery seems to be great, after being in the break yesterday. Don't know about his time trialing though.

De Marchi has come in as absolute last today, all alone, not a good sign I guess Hopefully he was just taking it very very easy today so we can see him back in the third week.

De Marchi does that quite often. Grandmaster of energy saving. |

Had to give my little man a ride after the stage finished, he was not happy with Chaves winning i guess.
So here i am now for some words.
Great, absolutely great stage, that is what Giro can bring to a fan year after year. I quite expected explosion of Movistar, those two are not top climbers afterall, Valverde is classics man who can climb very well, but not against very top climbers, even last years Tour was thanks to great first week.
Great to see Chaves and Kruijswijk doing so well, spoiling it somehow for usual suspects like Nibali, we have it settled for epic 3rd week between now top2. Two 3rd week specialists battling it for the win should be nice showdown.

Just look at his palmares. Hardly noone has been among the last 5 finishers in more races than him. He always calms down completely when he can.

Could Kruijswijk actually do this?
At the start of Il Giro I was hoping Nibali would peak in the 3rd week. Now, I don't.
Also, Cunego already has more KoM points than Visconti had last year at the end of the race. The points structure on the climbs might have changed though.
