Um, wow.
I'll start with congratulating Marco and acknowledging I never stood a chance but without bias trek has been absolutely robbed.

Congrats on winning Marco.
I though jandal had that though, weren't you guys asking us for strategy that whole time?
And thanks Ivan for the vote and thanks jesadog for the game. :
Next season I'm playing no alliance, so making the final will pretty much mean I win.

WE DID IT!
First of all I have to thank all my Minions for helping me with the challenges and rigging the voting system
Nah, seriously now. Trek and jandal you were both deserved finalist and if one of you would've won it wouldn't be undeserved. Actually surprised I won by this big of a margin.
Also many thanks to jseadog for organizing this wonderful game. I quite liked the challenges being based on other games around here. I will definitely play the fourth season but I fear I'm seen as too strong now so everyone will do their best to evict me.
Oh yeah, the new avatar. It will come when the userbar is available. For now, time to get drunk even though I have exams today

I didn't vote because I expected this to be a lot closer and because I would have preferred others to decide who the winner would be, since I was quite undecided. After all, this seems like a deserved win. Great work Marco!

Would play fourth season if we get numbers more on the S1 side, because that was a bit of a coast for me once I had the B plan in place tbh. But was good fun nonetheless! Now lads, whilst your craving more games, another ad for CX is in order! Join, the U23 window is sson I believe?

Hey guys,
With another season in the books, I figured I would give my review and notes of the season. I do not like how our numbers are getting lower and lower each year. As some stated before, it is not as much fun with only 11 players (although it makes things easier on me). I hope some reconsider next year who did not play and decide to play.
As far as this year, I was happy with the "Tour the Games" theme we had. We got a taste of most of PCM.Daily's games which many knew how to play already. With Mresuperstar occupied most of the time now, he has not had time to run his own game as he usually does each year right before me. I thought this would benefit me as there is no chance to play before BB.
The winter idea is good, and if Mre does not host a game, I think starting BBS4 in November would be best, as many of you are not busy during the winter months, where in May you start getting busy. On the flip side, more members are active in the summer months, so a better turnout may come during that period. Being occupied with NFL (Fantasy Football, prediction game) in the fall, that is not an option. Getting at least 15 players is the ultimate goal for next season. I am open to any suggestions of a theme or some challenges that you could send me via PM.
I see a problem with the same people playing each season, as the same alliances are likely to form and the same outcome could ultimately be reached. I encourage playing again and again though, as I did in Survivor and should have won Season 2 (long story).
As far as this game goes, ivaneurope would have had a very strong case to win had he made it to the finals, and I think Marco made the right choice by eliminating him, as his sympathy was held by the jury. Even though he was a weak player who did not submit in the end challenges, being able to survive the very first eviction, and be put up for eviction a record number of times (will be hard to beat that), he managed to stay in. I must admit I am a bit surprised that the jury went with Marco, I was almost sure trekbmc had this game in the bag.
Being the strongest player skill wise in his alliance, I also felt that he had the best speech that anyone gave in the end. I would be very interested to know why the jury chose Marco, as MARS description did not make sense to me. At the start of the game, I thought it would come down to brewers or matt17br, as baseballlover proved too strong in the first competition to make it very far.
As we await a signature/userbar from the_hoyle, who has been online but unresponsive to my messages (he has one made, just need marco's name on it), I thank all of the players who participated in the game this year. I thank knockout & SSJ2 for being the 2 non-players who still followed closely. Ian Butler, thanks for playing and giving contest ideas (high risk). Players that were in the game who started initiatives that were challenges, credit is due to you. It is a pleasure hosting these games, and they would not be possible without you. Congratulations to Marcodw, who played smart enough to come out with a win.
I shall see all of you again when NFL Fantasy Football starts in 2 months (some of you will play, and yes, I will still be at this site until then, posting in my usual non-cycling, games/sports threads ). If you actually read through all of this, give this post a thumbs up so I know somebody gave it effort and read it
P.S. Remember, I am open to suggestions/ideas on next years game either on this thread or via PM.

Very much enjoyed following this season. You are an excellent host of it. I hope for yours and everyone's sake that next edition has a bit more (and most importantly: all active) players! |

First of all, thanks for organizing this year after year.
2. Since you have asked for suggestions I want to bring up one I have mentioned multiple times already:
Remove all timed challenges / vetos. Knowing that some vetos are timed challenges was a major reason to not apply for this season for me.

How Challenges Work This Year
As an FYI, challenges this year for the HoH will NOT require you to be online at the time of the post, however, some veto challenges may require you to be online when you receive the PM as they will be timed. Usually this will give you 4 time options to decide from.
10:30 AM EST (3:30 PM GMT)
1:30 PM EST (6:30 PM GMT)
6:00 PM EST (11:00 PM GMT)
10:00 PM EST (3:00 AM GMT)
These options are not set in stone, but these will be the 4 general times. You should make sure that you can be active/online at least one of these times at some points of the week. (You usually also have about 2 days to choose between, giving 8 options total!)
Sure you gave time slots to chose but i knew I was not going to be online at most of them and even when I could not tell so two days before.
And making the most important HoH (the final one) of the whole season a timed one is really bad choice imo (especially after you said there was not going to be a timed HoH ).
I was rather surprised marco won. For me it looked like trek was the strongest player with jandal as my second guess for the win.
However, I was really surprised that people considered ivan a potential voting candidate. Even if he would have made it to the final he has not proven to be worthy a winner all season long. I dont consider being dragged towards the final because being inactive and weak in the challenges an achievement.
3. I think speeding the game up is important. The waiting times between HoH -> HoH results -> HoH decided Nominees -> Host posts Nominees -> Veto Challenge -> Veto Results -> Veto Winner Decision -> HoH deciding replacement -> Host posts replacement -> Voting are too long. I think it would benefitial to the game if you could add your suggested Nominees to your HoH PM / Veto PM.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Ideas as an outsider who hasn't participated since the very first challenge of S1 (which means i'm still the most handsomest and bestest BB player of all time!):
Echoing Knockout - Minimising timed events as far as possible AND speeding the entire process up.
Timed events have always caused problems in Survivor and previous BB's, if you miss the start you are almost allways screwed for that challenge often through no fault of your own. Having a couple of start times to pick from is a good way to assist this but try and be a touch more flexible in them to make the effort to give as many players a realistic chance as possible.
Timing does work well as a tie-breaker if people score equally in an event, then rewarding those who are quick makes sense as it is a reward, rather than a punishment for the busy.
There's so many steps to a "week" that it needs to be sped up just to keep a good tempo and flow to the game, which will keep people more actively engaged. Allowing the HoH to post the Nominees themselves would go someway to that, provide a standard post template at the start and let the HoH fill it in after you post the results. If i were in charge i'd possibly cut the Veto stage altogether, or perhaps instead of having a Veto every "week" cut down to just a couple spaced through the competition. Although that probably seems like a really radical idea.

I know BB has been good, but like with Survivor i think it might be time to try something new. There's only so many ways to keep it fresh and enticing to new people. I don't have ideas but then i havn't thought about it because i'm not running it, and you'll have a better idea of what can be changed than me.
You mentioned Mre games.... we might need to have a PM chat...

Congrats to Marcovdw on winning the season!
Thank you to everyone with suggestions. I am definitely open to a new game, which I have had a few in mind already. Big Brother is still the early favorite to return though. I can get rid of times challenges, but I may need some help coming up with new ones

Well, looks like its time to spark up some interest, as Season 4 will be kicking off in 1-2 weeks. If you could just "Light Bulb" this post if you are interested in participating and a "thumbs up" if you are definitely applying (participating), that would be excellent!!!
Any questions? Just ask here!
THERE IS A SURVEY BELOW WHICH WILL GREATLY IMPACT HOW THE GAME IS RUN THIS YEAR! PLEASE TAKE IT!!
