Still hoping he pulls out something and goes on the attack in the mountains and grabs a stage win

+1 De Marchi's my favourite rider to watch when he's in form and attacking

I'm very positive about him, having him in my team too. He showed a decent enough shape in a stage that imo didn't fit him perfectly, so I'd still wait for 2nd/3rd week.
Definitely expecting stage wins from him and my other breakaway pick Pirazzi who is also looking great imo. He's also got better tactically by quite a lot, see that stage he won at Settimana Coppi & Bartali.

Really happy about how I am doing right now considering I made the team last minute really and all the cycling knowlegde I have this year came from the skype group.
Ulissi, Zakarin, Kittel, Jungels, Chaves are doing really well so far. Then hoping Battaglin will get a free role from Jumbo to contest for a break-away win. Pirazzi, Kangert and Landa are the big question marks in my lineup atm. Noone of them have overly impressed so far to say atleast.

My team is doing surprisingly well. Dumoulin picked up a fair amount of points, Modolo and Ewan have shown themselves in the sprints, nothing too amazing though, Visconti grabbed me some points yesterday and then my climbers are all doing quite well with Jungels, Majka, Zakarin, Chaves and Ulissi who can also get a very decent GC after he'll lose some time this week, and gain some from a break next week

What a bummer day for me.
First Landa in the Giro, then Kennaugh in California.
I suck in the Giro anyway but was leading in California until tonight and had some high hopes but now all my 4 leaders struggled. |

I lost Kennaugh too unfortunately, but my other guys did fairly well. |

He wasn't even been on a startlist . Martin was able to pick before Etixx confirmed their squad.
Well, my team isn't bad at all. I forgot that Farrar will ride for Cavendish on those flat stages. Thought of taking Wippert, but I took Farrar . |

I rushed California as I was on mobile only. Concentraded more on sprinters, which did well tbf.
At least I noticed to change Dan Martin as I had him first as well. |

Cali is just a difficult race to pick riders for. Sagan was pretty obvious, as well as Bookwalter. From there things were pretty difficult, Alaphilippe and Coquard were good picks, Baska gets some support points, Ten Dam seems fine, Arredondo and Sicard are not good, and Kennaugh is a shame...

Kudos to Di lego picking 19 year old Powless, he was a beast on the final climb. Didn't see all the stage but when did he break away - surely not part of the early break!? Either way he was out there a while and held on well.
Edit - reading the reports suggests he went at the bottom of the 10km climb so very impressive. |

Giro looks quite superb now that TomDum is out of the race. I'm at fifth now and the four guys ahead of me all have Dumoulin.
If only I had Greipel instead of Kittel.

I've had a nightmare at the Giro. Hopefully Nizzolo will hold onto the red Jersey to at least give me something to cheer. |

Might not have been the best move to pick Nibbles AND Landa . |

Nibali could still come good in the high mountains. Landa was a disaster |

Nibali might do well, yes, but most of people have either Nibali or Valverde, so you probably won't make up a lot of losses unfortunately. Two huge money riders is too big of a risk . |
