Firsanov isn't that far-fetched at all. Got him at odds 4 for a top-10. Who knows, stranger things have happened, I'd say. Its also a little dull just to list the 10 best riders on paper, it feels a lot more satisfying when you are hitting a long one, no?
Lets hope Landa is late for the prologue by 1 minute and losing 1 more on the road and 3 more in the next ITT. Should provide fireworks, Landani has it him in! |

Landamontes? Landoppi? Landaul? Though Landrckx has a nice ring to it. Or Landashiro?
It's nearly as bad as Naironman (which thankfully I did not come up with)

I like Landurain better, but Landamontes is decent I guess.. Floyd Landa or Mikel Landis are pretty troll also. |

Now I'm not sure if I should believe him, nor do I want to because the 14 velogames points I spent for him were spent because I'm expecting at least 2 stage wins and a top 10

He announced quite a while back that his main season goal would be the Olympic ITT, and mentioned quite early already he wouldn't aim on the GC here.

Looking at his teammates I'd say it's quite likely he won't bother with the GC.

Here's a very nice photo essay about the snow-clearing on the Bonette. Looks somewhat promising (as well as beautiful, of course):
"The only potential problem for the Giro, predicted Aurelien’s boss, Monsieur Fabron, would be a big storm on the day of the stage itself."

Whats the hardest climb in the Giro - Agnel? Unfortunately all the false flat before Risoul would hamper the action there. |

Yeah I'd probably say Agnel is the hardest climb although Bonette and Lombarde are pretty much the same length and gradient, Agnel is relatively shallow at the beginning before having the last 10km at 9%, which makes it harder than the consistent Lombarde in my books despite Lombarde being almost a percentage higher gradient. Indeed unlikely to see any attacks before Risoul but it will at least a) be beautiful viewing and b) whittle down the domestiques to allow for more action on the final climb.
Anyway, team presentations were today (remember we're starting tomorrow on Friday to account for the extra rest day in transferring from the Netherlands, much like 2014), and it looked like pretty big crowds. I'm off to start writing up the initial post of a Week 1 thread.

I thought so. Its brutal, but Giau and Lombarde probably and hopefully will be the most deciding climbs. Maybe along with the second last climb in the Friuli stage, that looks freaking brutal as well.
I don't understand the last sentence, but the more writing about the Giro, the better (if thats what you meant). |

So, Giro starts today, so I'll predict a top 10, too:
1. Nibali
2. Majka
3. Duran Duran
4. Landa
5. Valverde
6. Hesjedal
7. Kudus
8. Fuglsang
9. Chaves
10. Zakarin |
