Lets see what happened to Bentacur today. Looked very bad in the MTF in Castilla y Leon, much better at the hills atm. |

Yep, 3 minutes in Castilla, 4 minutes in Asturias. Needs that rain and those small spicy climbs in this shape, hopefully he will improve through the Giro and be useful in the high mountains, I think he should be able to contribute on those many hilly and small mountain stages.
First signs of life from Dani Moreno this year. Will be incredibly important come July. Hoped for more by Jose Herrada, he is a good diesel, but seems to have regressed slightly. Marc Soler isn't Quintana or Aru, we all know that, he will improve, but his ceiling is not more than some decent one weekers and a good all-round dom. I think, at least.
Winner Anacona, the ever inconsistent. Like Moreno, I dont care what he does, he just needs to be ready in July. They will be the most important doms in the mountains, bar Valverde. Amador is ready for the Giro and Gorka is the fundamentally opposite of Anacona, always up there, doing great work, but doesnt have those Alpe d Huez 2015 stages in him that Anacona does.
And can we all take the time to appreciate Ion? What a rider, podium secured against the beast that is Zakarin, the only one able to keep up with Quintana. He probably would have gotten podium in Pais Vasco ahead of Quintana like 2015 if he hadn't got sick. Ever improving. Its my wet dream he will get a free role for the Vuelta, but I dont think he ever will be a spectacular GT-rider. But why not try...
Dowsett is out of the Giro. Feel bad for him, I genuinely like him, but when Don Alejandro demands Betancur in the Giro, he probably had been snubbed anyways. You simply dont mess with Balaverde! |

what is going on there..
Poels wins the coldest LBL in years, while previously he used to suffer in rain and cold (and classics)
Froome wins in rain and cold (I think i even saw wet snow), while he used to suffer in these conditions and well.
Extremely good thermal clothing? |

Froomey has been doing great in Romandie regardless of whether the last years, should hardly come as a surprise |

But such long bad day attack for a rider who clearly had problems early in cold days. As Ullrich would have attacked with snow. Wearher is hugh part of the show (I dont want to start L-B-L discussion again). Also Pcm should play more with AI when weather is so bad or hot. |

Just checking PCS, Amador 2nd and way ahead of Rojas, strange result. Maybe Amador will make a sensational Giro campaign again, he was great fun last year. Overall it seems like a very fragmented finish. Verona in 9th is solid and a few points for my Fantasy team.

They were more or less caught on the finish line, so that would explain Amador's sudden sprint potential |

I almost thought Albasini wouldn't win any stage in Romandie this year. Fucking hero.

It wasn't a sprint of the whole group, like Riis123 said Albasini, Amador, Kelderman and also Verone were part of a group of 4 that escaped out of the early break of the day.
The top 10 is a mix of breakaway riders, late attackers, and a few sprinters |

TdY was really quite good today. Action for a lot of the last 75km or so and a very very good finish. Well worth trying to watch

"BANALIEBER"
I thought nothing could be gayer than Belieber. I was so wrong. |
