I think it should be the other way round. 6 years for blood doping and 2 years for mechanical doping. Blood doping is dangerous as well as cheating so the punishment should be greater. As has been said, mechanical doping is ridiculous more then anything else.
I think the fact it's the first case and they want to make an example is a big factor. It will probably be reduced upon appeal at a later date.
Couldn't disagree more, I think mechanical cheating is far, far worse than EPO or whatever they are taking atm

Guido's writing style is imo one of the best things on here, quite characteristic. |

Not sure if anyone has posted this. but Drapac will apparently be a "feeder" team for Cannondale from next year. Interesting partnership but maybe would have prefered Drapac to be their own individual team...

From the article I read it said that they were teaming up to have a feeder team, not turning Drapac into one.

Yep you are correct https://cyclingtips.com/2016/04/slipst...m-in-2017/
Slipstream Sports and Drapac Capital Partners will have a Conti squad based in Europe that will act as a feeder team to both Cannondale and Drapac with a focus on helping young riders to achieve a higher education.
I like the idea but just wish Drapac had nothing to do with Vaughters

Well, it wont let you dominate Tour of Yorkshire coming from amateur level either.
But i am not saying those times are not in close future.

Trek Segafredo extends the contract with Jasper Stuyven for 2 years as the contract was running out after this season.
Good news for the team as he could be their potential cobbled leader next year making big steps in the last two seasons and with 24 years of age only he could still improve. |

Great news for TREK and i would say this makes any Sagan move to TREK a bit less likely, as i think Stuyven is ready to be the leader. Obviously not Sagan level, but they can build classics squad around Jasper and still buy some GC guys...

It was wrong, no doubt and I regret it. No need to get personal. Its just that this guy Guido is all over me whenever and whatever I post and its frankly super frustrating and on top of that, I also had a few beers, so, yeah.
Not OK. |

Now there's currently going quite some stuff going on inside british cycling, regarding Sutton, sexism and the general lack of support for women cycling.
Guess which male rider has his beans to spill too on this issue? Of course. Peter Kennaugh, once more confirming he is sorta the douche of the peloton. Fortunately he has currently disactivated his twitter.

Well, Peter K is definitely a complete douchebag, but isn't he right - I mean, not too many care about women cycling? The last tweet is ugly, but I dont think you can fault him for speaking the truth (more or less) in that first tweet of his. |

The worst part is his apparent lack of basic English skills. That first tweet is a terrible sentence I had to read it three times to understand what he meant. |

Women cycling can`t improve popularity if any attempt to make it more popular is being stopped beforehand.
Hence attempts to make it more popular should be supported and not blamed. |
