Is the screenshot part of the forum broken?
I know there isn't much activity there anymore, but I uploaded a screenshot yesterday and I can't see, always error. |

I asked the same, and I think it is a bit weird |

Today I am 15! I have been active here since I was 13. I have grown up as a person with you and I think that is reflected in my behaviour (that's my opinion, although I become annoying in Skype from time to time).
Keep it up guys, and I hope I celebrate many birthdays next to you!

When I joined I was 11 years old, now I'll be 17 later this year. It's quite amazing to think about how different my life is while Daily has remained a constant.
Anyway guys, I'm back here now. I was away for 3 days on a school trip to Washington DC, so sorry if anyone wanted me, which I highly doubt. I'm back now, so I'll be checking up on things. I think those three days were the first time in 5 years I have not checked Daily. (Well I checked Wednesday morning but not the rest of the trip).

we need a "great banter" or "nice sarkasm" button or something like that to rate posts...especially for stats discussion and race threads

Not turning this into a competition, but... I had just turned 18 when I opened the site. 27 today.
What's more scary: I bought the first Cycling Manager game when I was 12. Made my first CyM/PCM-site a few months later at the age of 13.
In other words: CyM/PCM has been a part of more than 50 percent of my life |

Oh, and yes, it's still possible to see what a PCM site looked like back in 2002.

I'm glad to say that my English has improved a little bit since then
Also, judging by the 'news', I actually invented blogging... |

Don't forget a "funny" or "laugh" reaction, that would be really good!

I still can't believe to be older than you. In my first couple years I always had you five years older.
Regarding PCM. My first was with 15 I think. So I unfortunately never had the very first couple of games but at least started before the Pro got added.
Hence why is this site called PCM Daily and not CM Daily? Or was it PCM in English/Danish since game 1? |

Well didn't PCM.Daily come out in 2006 when PCM 2 (PCM 2006) just was on sale (good memories)? It was CYM until 2004 I think.

Ouch. That stupidity hurts....
Thinking back to being 18 seems much longer than going back to 2006. |

Exactly.
The game was named Cycling Manager (shortened CyM) up until and including CyM4 (2004). When the Pro Tour was introduced in the 2005 season, the game changed its name to Pro Cycling Manager.
This site opened in November 2006, so it's named after the PCM series.
Not sure what we'd have done if we'd opened in 2004 as CyMdaily.com |

Hey guys,
I'm taking a break from Daily. I don't know when, or even if I come back. I really had a nice time on that site. Lots of interesting discussions as well. Also I think it improved my English as well. I was part in alot of Initiative, which I didn't forget. F.e. Cyclo-Cross New Dawn. With this, I am officially withdrawing from every game I'm part of. You can keep using my riders, though, Ian. I just don't want to damage your image, in taking part at your Initiatives.
Have a nice time. I will still read the next 2-3 days and will maybe write some last post in some Forum Segments.
With regards
Paul

To be honest that´s really sad. I always liked the talks to you, so I am looking forward to see if you might have a turnaround in your thoughts. Cheers Paul

That's sad to see Paul, but if it's for the best and I know you've got your reasons. Like Croatia said I enjoyed talking with you and thanks for your time on the site
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

It was nice while it lasted, I guess. Can I ask you what led you to take that decision?
Good luck in your life!

There was civil unrest in the Republic of PCM.Daily. The galaxy was being ruled by an invisible hand, by the Emperor CrueTrue. The Galactic Supreme Court was completely lost.
Ian Butler, a farmboy from the second moon of Guaceamolo, joined PCM.Daily with his first post. It wasn't a classic +1 post, nor a quest to find the best download. The people of PCM.Daily soon realized this was no ordinary seven-headed dwarf. Not that there are ordinary seven-headed dwarfs, anywhere.
Years later, just weeks before becoming Ultimate Ruler of the Entire Universe (And Beyond If There Is Anything More Out There, Just In Case), he made his 20.000th post on the Republic of PCM.Daily. Much had changed in the Republic. Emperor CrueTrue was overruled by an even more relentless SportingNonsense, exotic dancer issoisso left the galaxy after Yoda's brother Avin the Warg annoyed him about space bananas. Some had gone, more had come.
But most importantly, the seven-headed dwarf, spamming the Republic with useless and usemore comments, was still around. And everyone knew there was no way to vanquish the dwarf. So they put up with him. And almost voted him member of the year.
It's been a nice time so far, cheers guys |
