There is a little detail everybody is probably forgetting, and that wasn't shown on TV... There was a little split in Stage 2 in the Peloton at the finish line, and Contador was caught behind... And Thomas was in the Group ahead... Guess what the margin was? Those same 4 SECONDS!!!
Check it: https://www.procyc...16_Stage_2 Contador would have lost it on countback as well.
I know, because of the TT, but it still shows how by a little gap in a meaningless Stage (for the GC) could have changed the outcome! Nontheless, it was a fantastic Paris-Nice. Heck it was almost decided on the Seconds gained on the Intermideate Sprints! |

That is why he is the best rider of his generation.Shame that he lost by 4 seconds.
Also, what Gallopin and did was selfish and pathetic. Also Lotto's patheticness of keeping a not very important place in GC over a stage win continues.
Lotto and Gallopin played it perfectly and not only got the stage win but also bagged 4th on the stage and 8th in the GC...
Wow how selfish and pathetic that is

Well, Vervaeke will always have a hard time winning. Give him some time. He's a decent talent but his specialty doesn't give lots of winning chances. Wellens is a class act, though. Building up a nice palmares at the age of 24. |

Please enlighten me, what other times have Lotto "given a way a stage in order to keep gc place" ps the they won the stage......Otherwise i completely agree with Strydz, Lotto did well yesterday. I don't really see why you guys complain about it other than that you're angry with Thomas beating Contador and you need someone to blame. |

Fixed your post for you.
Why is it OK for someone to say Contador is the best rider of his generation but another is labelled a "fanboy" for saying the same about Froome. |

Because you don't just edit a post like that to express a different opinion, basically assuming that you are right and everyone else is wrong
If you want to argue against it, then you actually do it, you don't "fix a bug" in another post.

This Arberg/Ringo/Anyone. Argue, don't just be an ass about it. PCMdaily has spent almost a decade dealing with this.

It was very weird that Gallopin just chased for a not so important place on GC putting his teammate's win at risk.Plus he also said he helped Thomas. He also said that he chased for a chance of stage win.If the chase group had caught the lead group fast riders like Costa,Yates,Jeaneasson could have taken the stage.
Also didn't Monfort and Van Den Broeck had an argument in the Giro last year while coming 11th and 12th overall?
Plus Lotto's riders always fight for a top 10-20 place.Van Den Broeck,Monfort,De Greef(he actually rode for top 20-25). |

I'm sure riders from other teams have never ever helped Contador. He's got no friends in the peloton outside his team.
Shame on Thomas for making friends and good relationships with other riders! What a narrow minded horrible person to do so.

Shame on Thomas for making friends and good relationships with other riders! What a narrow minded horrible person to do so. I just think it is ruining cycling. And I would have said the same if Thomas had been on front and Gallopin would be helping Contador.Plus,he put his teammate's win at risk. |

I've never questioned the fact he modified another members post. I agree that is a very shitty move.
My question is why is someone who supports Sky/Froome labelled a "fanboy" while people can support other riders/teas as much as they want? |

It's nothing against normal Froome supporters, it's really just Arberg and other irrational blind fanboys.

Yup, and even so.
I'm a big fan of Sagan as a cyclist, for example, I don't care, not afraid to admit it, either |

This is not about Froome. I've compiled a list of annoying people on Daily:
Contador-fanboys
Cav-fanboys
Norweigans
Tinkov-lovers
Tinkov-haters
Kelderman-believers
Ten Dam-believers
Gesink-believers
Dekker-beilievers
Overly optimistic French.
