Thanks deek for the link. Good victory for Conta, very nice to see him on the expected level after a rather disappointing first mt stage. Malhao is certainly a place where he likes to win. 20 secs on Pinot and Aru is really... something on such a short sweet climb.
Ridiculous time.

Andalucia stage
https://www.steeph...mp;yr=2016
Valv in big gear totally crushing it, 4th Andalucia win in 5 years. Pure excellent consistency in this case even if it's just a prep race. Beware.
Anton always last in the group, even a lil bit of yoyoing. He's coming back slowly, more to come.

Yeah, i expect a fairly good year from Kreuziger, this was his first race in 2016. We will see where he will get the leadership and where he will just have dragging job, like you mentioned.
Contador
Seems like a celebrational weekend to some proven spanish dopers.

Avin still dreaming about Kreuziger as GT leader? Well you are consistent. Same drama as Taaramäe..on he's best days goodt 6 day tour racer. |

Kreuziger was 3rd best rider in 2013 Tour. No denying it. He proved there and then he can do it.

No he was 5th.
well he has been 4 time into GT top 10 (3 of them tour) he definitely has something inside.
He's best rides has been when he was in support role..some rider just are like that. There nothing bad to be Klöden, Porte..etc. |

Nah, i am not dreamer in this case, i know he is top 4-6 guy at best and i have some hard feeling for him after his case anyway. But what he is? An ultra luxury domestique if you want to win the Tour and have someone to help you in last 10 guys on a mountain stage. And Contador knows that and you also wrote that, he is Kloden type of GT rider...
Still Taraamae was never on his level honestly...

Well, almost is worth nothing sadly. I know he has a health issues during majority of his career, but results speak for itself. Rein was never in top10 in GT, he was 11th at Tour at best and Kreuziger meanwhile was in top10 several times, even attacked to5 in two ocasions and has a major classic win + several WC stage races GCs early in his career. Meanwhile Rein has 1GT stage win and Vuelta Burgos/Tour of Norway GC as his biggest achievements so far.
So if we wont count "what if", Rein is just a promise that didnt come true (due to health issues) and Kreuziger is one of the better stage racers of his generation.

Hardly doubt he's one of the best Avin.
And tbf, we can also name Kreuziger a promise that didn't come true, since we somehow always think (or at least, I do) that he was capable of doing a lot more than what he did during his career. |

Voeckler is winning the first time since 2013.
And for a guy I never heard before, Calmejane really did well today as also in general this year as neo-pro.

That is my favourite result of a race so far this season, Voeckler winning as well as a lot of my favourite riders in the top ten

Where i have written that he is one of the best? Next time it would be maybe better to stay quiet if you need to twist the meaning of the quote to actually say something...
If you think that careers of Taraamae and Kreuziger are similar, good for you, i dont think so, so i have expressed that.
Also i dont know who expected GT wins from Kreuziger, but even czech press (known for absence of criticism for czech athletes) was never so far and always presented top10 in GT as enormous results and already fullfiled promise. Because czech cyclist was never so good in stage racing before. I would say he quite lived up to his potential. In the end it is all about quality of doping program anyway...

Guardini really is a machine in Langkawi. His 19th win there tonight. Drapac gave him a great challenge as Graeme Brown did a great leadout for Jones. Though his speed for not enough to beat Guardini.
Mareczko probably a bit below expectactions in this field as 15th. Let`s see if he can challenge Guardini a bit more in the next days.
Matt Goss 28th. I guess his leader days are over.
