I like it a lot actually, that's quite my genre! I particularly like how the guitar is used wisely and is never annoyingly screaming - which is a mistake a lot of bands do nowadays because they're lacking ideas. The Hunter's solo for example fits perfectly with the atmosphere created by the track.
My favourites are Hostage and Widows in Paradise, the former reminds me a lot of some of the best Dream Pop groups of the 90's, thinking about Yo La Tengo or Slowdive for example, while the latter has some dark atmospheres that remind me of the later works of Portishead but also other recent groups coming from your zone like Birth of Joy - they are Dutch I think.
Who did write the songs of you guys? Pretty high level overall in those lyrics. Expected it after hearing those songs you Ian posted 1 or 2 months ago though!
You both have some talent, hopefully we'll hear talking about you more and more frequently!

Wow love the music Ian!
Intruder is really my favourite type of song, while the hostage almost reminds me of one of the red hot chilly peppers songs, quite like the other two as well.

Great music Ian.
I like Hunter the most. (Not sure if Aaaaaah at the end is necessary though) |

Unread CX tactics
On the other hand, fantastic tracks Ian! Intruder and WIP are my favorites, but the others are awesome too! Mostly apart from that an echo of others, that guitar solo was awesome and great lyrics and of course some great drumming there

Really nice tracks Ian! Something like Intruder and Hunter isn't usually my kind of music, but I still enjoyed it a lot! Hostage and Widows in Paradise are fantastic (I like that kind of melancholy), great melody and your singer has a very pleasant voice that fits the music very well (plus I agree with roturn. Dat guitar solo in Hostage ).
Make sure to keep us updated, I'd love to hear more from you guys

Thanks a lot for giving it a listen and the feedback, guys! I'm very proud of them so it's also nice so many of you like (parts of) it.
Intruder is a nice story. It had a whole other arrangement, which wasn't really working. 3 weeks before recording, I was messing around with it on the guitar and we completely changed it. (including the electronics etc) Spend 3 weeks working on it and deciding to take the risk and record it.
In the end, it's probably the best track on the EP

I agree with the guitars. We are very consciencious about our sound. We want to create an atmosphere, using 'less is more' and using dynamic rather than an oversound like those distortion guitars nowadays etc
We both write the songs. We're together in 3 other bands, but this band is our own little side project. We write the music together, as well as the lyrics. We do take quite long about it, though. Hostage, for example, is already 3 years old. Intruder is 2 years old but this version only 3 weeks before recording, so we keep working on our stuff until it's to our satisfaction |

I was looking for a post I had written earlier. I found the text and was shocked to see the picture besides it. WHAT? WHO IS THAT? IS THAT ME? WHERE IS THE BICYCLE GUY? WHO IS THIS GUY IN A CAR?

It's not that Ian changed his avatar, he actually just changed his name to Luxemburger.
And Ian, do you realise the repercussions this has for next time you take over the site?

Jesleyh already knows he has to wait 18 years to win a Daily Award.
But aleluia, it took 18 years, but it finally happened!

Now he can rest easy, knowing he has won biggest bullshit award of the year. The big American Acadamy Awards, home of the brave. You now are a true hero, Leo DiCaprio. A true testament of human life. Your mission in life is complete, you are now better than us lowly mortals. We will celebrate you for eternity, for the god you are!
Oh, and in case you missed it, I don't really support award shows like these, where the super rich like to celebrate themselves and hand out golden statues to show the rest of the world they're so great
