Damn he destroyed Nizzolo dropping him from his wheel. Cav badly positioned.
Kittel way stronger and excellently positioned putting bike lengths into everyone while Cav, badly positioned, put a bike length into the rest. Would be interesting to see how close it would be if Cav were closer to start with, though I'm thinking it would still be fairly comfortable for Kittel.
Yeah I reckon Kittel wouldve still comfortably won with Cav on his wheel too. Unusual of Cav to push it to the line even though he knew he wasnt gonna win. Usually he just gives up straightaway
It`s vital in this race. It`s about collecting bonus seconds and then stay as close to the puncheurs on Hatta Dam.
Last year he lost 10s there on a harder stage. So every bonus second counts and I`d say that Kittel will struggle a lot more on this climb. So for Cav a secured 2nd might be valuable in fight of the final GC. |

Look at this !!!
As I recall the pcmdailyDB has the Vuelta Mallorca as a stage -race, but UCI only as individual races.
An un-official GC do exist and this poor bloke won it this year.
Maxime Bouet Etixx and no big recognition
This is what he got in prize

Glad Valencia is back on the calendar. Less happy about the fact they went full Catalunya with TV coverage. |

Will Clarke wins the prologue of the Herald Sun Tour.
Coquard wins the first stage in Bessèges, winning the sprint of a group of 20 riders.

Campenaerts has already been introduced to LottoNL's school of crashing.
Still a strong performance despite the crash. |

Ion Izagirre also crashed and still finished with a decent enough time to safe a top10 GC. Though due to the crash roles might have changed now at Movistar with Jesus Herrada being the main leader after the time trial. |

Yep, apparantly he chrashed pretty badly, I think he woulda smoked everyone apart from Poels given that these TT's are his speciality. That was quite unfortunate. I dont necessarily think that Jesus will be the captain now tho, Ion is not that far behind and can easily outclimb Jesus if the chrash isnt too bad..
Missed the coverage, probably gonna watch tomorrow and definitely for Xorret Cati. Kinda disappointed by Dayer's sucky ITT considering climbers seemed to do very well on this course. Poels' TT was pretty phenomenal, he should have this in his bag by now. Hoping to see Rosa. |

Genuinely happy to see Kittel back, cant see anyone beating him straight up if he keeps this up with an aging Cav and Greipel. I think he will have a super dominant season, including a few stages in the Tour. |

Crash at 1km mark in Dubai. Main leadout trains were destroyed by this.
Viviani ahead of Modolo today. |

Viviani wins the sprint. Kittel and Cavendish nowhere to be seen.
Bennati why on earth is he working for Kolar?? He's much faster.. Clearly the strongest today.

Quite disappointing finish. The stage never was expected to be very hard. But still Astana, Cannondale didn`t really go for it while having 4-5 riders in the first rows.
Movistar also just went half hearted for Jose while their others stage behind just like Sky.
I guess they all wait for the 4th day to make the GC.
For Martin though it`s great. Nice season start for him! |

Coquard also wins the second stage. The peloton split up, like yesterday, because of crashes in the final.

Etixx in general look well to get most of wins the season if they start like this. Kennaugh could be Daily's Fantasy season dark horse, great early season form much to my benefit.
