I hate when I don't keep promises but yet again time issues kept my motivation too low to write anything.
That said, Ian believe me you couldn't notice that sort of report was written after a long week. Top stuff. Matt putting some racing in his legs his good, and grabbing a top 10 while he's at it is perfect! Could have been much much worse which means he's actually in good shape as the reporter said. Nice to see Etxeberdea taking a well deserved (and pretty dominating as well!) first win.
Thanks for the report

Melbourne is next. Last sand cross in a while, so those sand fleas better enjoy it |

Damn, logic vs other logic vs will to win. Still skipping, I think though.

Might try to do the race this evening. Too late to send in tactics
On the subject of tactics, I'm thinking of working out a new system for that. Keep you updated if I manage something decent! |

B-but I like my tactics Nah I'm intrigued.
All this pressure on Milan for the World Cup, you'd think he actually stood a chance. Or is it a clever ploy by other riders to try lure him into a trap of thinking he can do it. He's not as easily swayed as last season, luckily.

If Listerijn doesn't want the pressure, he's free to quit and leave the racing to Vague and Cook.

So I picked 10 random race reports and did a word count.(excluding the results)
18,815 words it was.
Then I checked how many reports I've done so far.
78 race reports.
So not counting the previews, results, piece of history, The Scope and other posts. This would bring the word count up to:
146,757 words. (just an estimate. 18,815 times 7.8)
This Friday is the anniversary of this game.
On the one hand I'm extremely proud and happy. Quite a word count and I'm very pleased with that.
On the other hand.
God damn, I could've written two books in this year |

Wow, that's a lot of words.
You should write a book , then again, that would effect CX.
Anyway, congrats on making almost a year and presumably over 150,000 words with this great game

Yes Yes Yes!!!
So happy to see Sylvain win , I thought he had no chance here but the running really played into his hands
Also really glad I didn't send in tactics, they would have just said to follow wheels.
Thanks for the great report as well Ian Was exciting reading about Vague's attempts to catch them and the sand each lap

Good results for all my riders, hopefully Milan delivers to claw back up the UCI rankings. Especially pleased with Mark, edging very close to the top 15. Awesome report, can't wait for NZ now!

Solid start of the WC for Matt, will happily take 10th in a cross that only suits him for the weather.
Thanks for the reports Ian

well that didn't exactly go well for Dubois, still he's had a great start to the season so can't complain.
I'm impressed by the pace of the reports, even if it makes it harder for me to find the time to write roleplay posts of a decent length for my riders. Hopefully I can keep up a little better when I'm slightly les busy IRL.

You have seen nothing yet, this is Ian still in first gear.
Great report! Also congratulations on the two Cyclo-Cross books you have accomplished so far. I guess we could see a season each as a book all on its own? Just please no deaths in the story.
Vague is in some great form, really loving it. Almost perfect season start imo. But quo vadis Cookie Monster. He's so consistent, it's weird to see him not that active and on the front in a race that suits him so well.

Thanks for the kind words, all. I do my best
Yeah, I guess you could see each season as a book. Wonderful part is, though, that it's a collaborative effort. Always look forward to posts from the different characters, especially in certain situations. That's why I put them in those situations, sometimes, too
Truth is, I have actually thought about real life writing a book. And the time I put in CX:AND would come in pretty handy (several hours a week). But I'm having too much fun at the moment doing it, and it's good practise.
And with books you have that issue of needing to get published and finding editor and blah-blah. This I just press 'Post Reply' and it's game on! |

Also just noticed minor mistake in the fun at the beach dune climb competition: Dubois is recorded at 486cm, but isn't in the top ten as he should be.
